Xbox Game Pass is, arguably, the best it's ever been. In the last six months, Xbox Game Pass has added Blue Prince, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Avowed, South of Midnight, and Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered. Two of these games are some of the highest-rated of the entire year, and all have been day one launches for the subscription service. That's not even mentioning the wealth of excellent indies and third-party games that have also been added this year.

The pressure keeps building for Xbox Game Pass to continue to surpass itself month after month, and Game Pass' July 2025 line-up has a lot to prove. There are some great games already confirmed for the roster next month, but Game Pass could certainly benefit from a few big-name additions this July.

New Xbox Game Pass Game for June 30 Should Be the Tip of the Iceberg

Xbox Game Pass has just unveiled its entire June line-up, and there's one new addition that should open the floodgates for a beloved franchise.

Xbox Game Pass Wish List for July 2025: Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection

Widely regarded as some of the best games ever made, Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 collects the first three games in Hideo Kojima's Metal Gear Solid series, as well as the two Metal Gear titles that preceded them. These games remain exceptionally relevant even decades after their original release, and it would be great to see them on Xbox Game Pass.

Even just the standalone release of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater would be great to see on Game Pass next month, as it would allow both new and returning fans to replay the original ahead of the upcoming Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater remake in August.

Xbox Game Pass Wish List for July 2025: Killing Floor 3

Xbox Game Pass is home to an impressive assortment of co-op games, both local and online, and it's always looking for new titles to join the ranks. Killing Floor 3 is set to release on July 24, and while no Xbox Game Pass plans have been announced, it would be great to see the 4-player co-op horror shooter join the service.

It's been almost a decade since the last Killing Floor mainline entry, so fans can expect to see some sizable upgrades this time around, including Unreal Engine 5-powered graphics, an even more intricate gore system, and full crossplay support, to name just a few.

Xbox Game Pass Wish List for July 2025: Tales of the Shire

The hype surrounding Tales of the Shire has routinely waxed and waned since its announcement over a year ago, with pre-release previews and delays hampering players' excitement. But Tales of the Shire is finally on the home stretch, with it set to release on July 29.

Touting itself as the ultimate cozy Hobbit life-sim, Tales of the Shire will see players gardening, harvesting, socializing, and cooking alongside their Bywater neighbors. A day-one release on Xbox Game Pass could give Tales of the Shire a strong following off the bat.

Xbox Game Pass Wish List for July 2025: Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound

The Ninja Gaiden franchise played a pivotal role in Xbox's Developer Direct at the beginning of the year, with Ninja Gaiden 2 Black shadow-dropping for Xbox Game Pass during the event, and Ninja Gaiden 4 being confirmed as a day-one Game Pass title when it drops in October. But Ninja Gaiden has one more project out this year.

Set to release on July 29, Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is a throwback side-scrolling action game being developed by Blasphemous studio The Game Kitchen. Most pre-release previews have been glowing about this game, and it would undoubtedly be a strong asset for Xbox Game Pass to have next month.
