Just recently, Microsoft raised the price of Xbox Game Pass, and not only that, but it's announced that major day one releases will be locked behind Game Pass Ultimate. These decisions have understandably upset longtime Xbox Game Pass subscribers, with analysts predicting that another price hike and perhaps an ad-based tier could potentially be introduced down the line.

New predictions from game industry analysts indicate that Xbox Game Pass subscribers could receive more bad news in the future.
While some subscribers are anxious about the future of Xbox Game Pass, they can at least look forward to three more games joining the lineup in July 2024. On July 18, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn will join Xbox Game Pass, alongside Dungeons of Hinterberg. Flintlock is an action-RPG from the team behind Ashen that takes inspiration from Soulslike games, while Dungeons of Hinterberg is an action-adventure game with a cartoony art style that has been compared to The Legend of Zelda franchise. The third new game coming to Xbox Game Pass in the second half of July 2024 is Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, a new action-strategy/tower defense game from Capcom.

Kunitsu-Gami is a highly experimental game, which really makes it a perfect fit for Xbox Game Pass. This way, those curious about the game can try it out without paying full price.
Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be treated to all the Wave 2 July 2024 games this week, so the rest of the month is looking pretty bare. But combined with the Xbox Game Pass July 2024 Wave 1 games, subscribers should still have plenty to play. In fact, two other games were added to Xbox Game Pass just today.
