Microsoft recently revealed the rest of the new Xbox Game Pass games coming in the second half of June 2022, but some fans may have noticed that a game was missing from the lineup. Co-op escape room game Escape Academy was originally scheduled to launch on June 28 as a day one Xbox Game Pass game, but it has since been delayed. Escape Academy is now coming in July, making it one of the day one games that Game Pass subscribers can count on playing next month.
The original Escape Academy release date was June 28, but now the game is expected to drop on July 14. For those who haven't been following the game, it is set in the titular "Escape Academy," and it tasks players with solving puzzles to get out of escape rooms. Escape Academy supports both local and online co-op in split-screen, so it should be a solid pick for anyone looking for something new to play with a friend.
Escape Academy isn't alone when it comes to co-op Game Pass games. The new Xbox Game Pass games for June 2022 saw multiple new co-op games added to the service, with standouts being Spacelines from the Far Out and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge.

Escape Academy is just one of the day one Xbox Game Pass games scheduled to drop in July. While Microsoft has yet to highlight all the new Xbox Game Pass games for July 2022 itself, previous announcements have confirmed four other games that will be available on the service on day one. July 5 will see Last Call BBS added to Xbox Game Pass as a day one game, while Matchpoint Tennis Championships is coming on July 7. Then on July 19, As Dusk Falls is being added to the Game Pass lineup as a day one game, whereas Immortality is joining the lineup on July 26.
The day one Xbox Game Pass games are the main selling points for many subscribers to Microsoft's service, but there are other games that will be joining Xbox Game Pass in July 2022 as well. Microsoft has yet to reveal all of those games at the time of this writing, but it has confirmed at least one other game that will be joining the Xbox Game Pass lineup in July. Ubisoft's Far Cry 5 is joining Xbox Game Pass beginning July 1, serving as just the latest Ubisoft game to join Game Pass since the start of 2022.
