To date, there are only two games confirmed for the Xbox Game Pass August 2025 lineup. Microsoft makes big Xbox Game Pass announcements every two weeks or so, but release date announcements for known day one games give fans an idea of what to expect further in advance. It's thanks to these kinds of announcements that Xbox Game Pass subscribers already know what to expect from the second half of July, even though the official announcement has yet to come.
For example, we know that Abiotic Factor is coming to Xbox Game Pass on July 22, while Wheel World is joining the service on July 23. Soulslike game Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is coming to Game Pass on July 24, and finally, the early access version of Grounded 2 will join Game Pass on July 29. Xbox Game Pass subscribers should keep in mind that these day one releases are exclusive to those signed up for the Ultimate tier. This is something that will most likely apply to the new Xbox Game Pass games coming in August 2025 as well.
The Xbox Game Pass Hot Streak is Getting Ridiculous at This Point
The Xbox Game Pass subscription service has been on a generational roll these last few months, and there really doesn't seem to be an end in sight.
So far, there are only two games confirmed for Xbox Game Pass in August 2025, and both are new versions of games that have been available on the service for quite some time. Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 Enhanced is coming to Xbox Game Pass on August 12, while Gears of War: Reloaded is joining the lineup on August 26.

Hellblade 2 Enhanced is a brand-new update for the eye-popping action-adventure game that adds a Performance Mode, Dark Rot Mode from the original game, new photo mode options, and developer commentary. It doesn't offer much reason for those that have already played through Hellblade 2 to return to the game, but those that have yet to check it out will be in for a more fully-featured time than those that played at launch.
As far as Gears of War: Reloaded goes, it is a remaster of the original Gears of War game. The original Gears of War is playable on modern Xbox consoles through Game Pass and backward compatibility, plus Gears of War: Ultimate Edition is also available on the service as well. However, Gears of War: Reloaded is a huge graphical and performance upgrade that may make the return trip to Sera worth it. Not only that, but Gears of War: Reloaded features the game's beloved multiplayer mode, which makes it an even more exciting prospect.
More new games will undoubtedly be confirmed for the Xbox Game Pass August 2025 lineup, but subscribers will have to wait a couple of weeks to find out more. In the meantime, we know of day one Xbox Game Pass games coming later in the year. The Xbox Game Pass October 2025 lineup is looking especially stacked, with Keeper on October 17, Ninja Gaiden 4 on October 21, and The Outer Worlds 2 on October 29.
