The first three months of the year have been pretty decent for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. At least two major releases have hit Xbox Game Pass every month, including some big day-one titles. Subscribers have already had access to Sniper Elite: Resistance, Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, Citizen Sleeper 2, Avowed, and Balatro, and they're just about to receive Atomfall.
April is already set to be a big month for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, with a total of seven games already confirmed for the service. Along with Descenders Next, Blue Prince, and Tempopo, Xbox Game Pass' April 2025 line-up includes major day-one launches like South of Midnight, Commandos: Origins, Towerborne, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. This is a solid line-up already, but there's still time to add a few long-requested games to Game Pass' April slate.
Game Pass is the Only Thing Keeping Xbox in the Console Wars
Let’s be real, without Game Pass, Xbox would be in a much different position in this generation's console wars. While PlayStation continues to dominate with exclusives, Xbox has made its mark by offering gamers unprecedented access to a vast library of games. From AAA titles to indie gems, Game Pass has become the ultimate value proposition, especially with the push towards digital gaming. But here's the thing: does Game Pass alone give Xbox a fighting chance against Sony's stronghold of exclusives and fan loyalty? And with all the acquisitions Microsoft is making, is Game Pass sustainable long term, or will it eventually fall into the trap of quantity over quality? What are your thoughts, will Game Pass continue to keep Xbox competitive, or is there more that Microsoft needs to do to claim the console war crown?

Xbox Game Pass Wish List for April 2025: Dave the Diver
Release Date: Available Now
One of 2023's standout "indie" games, Dave the Diver sees players plunging to the depths of the ocean, collecting an assortment of sealife, and serving that sealife up to paying customers in their sushi restaurant on land. Despite several rumors over the last few years claiming Dave the Diver would be coming to Game Pass, the acclaimed title is still yet to appear on the service. April would be a great month for Dave the Diver to come to Game Pass, with it set to receive a Like a Dragon crossover DLC during the month.
