Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was one of the best-selling video games of 2023, and is quite easily one of the most significant new additions to the Xbox Game Pass library to date.
Earlier this week, a leaker claimed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 would be coming to Xbox Game Pass on July 24. Microsoft didn't waste too much time confirming the news. Shortly thereafter, it was revealed that the leak was accurate and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 would indeed be joining the Game Pass library.
More Xbox Game Pass Tier Changes Might Be In The Works

Now, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has officially joined Xbox Game Pass. The game is readily available to play for console, PC, and Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. Those signed up for Xbox Game Pass core do not have access to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, however. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 features a controversial campaign mode, the franchise's signature PvP multiplayer experience, and an open world Zombies mode that blends elements of Zombies with the Warzone battle royale. Modern Warfare 3 earned mixed reviews at the time of its release, but its popularity can't be denied, and the monetary value it provides to Game Pass can't be understated.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is Now on Xbox Game Pass
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is just the beginning of Call of Duty on Game Pass. It was confirmed not too long ago that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be a day one Xbox Game Pass game, albeit for those who are signed up for the Ultimate tier of the service. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is scheduled to launch on October 25, so Game Pass subscribers should be sure to circle that date on their calendars.
Other Call of Duty games are expected to come Xbox Game Pass at some point as well, though it's unclear exactly when they will join the lineup. Ever since Microsoft acquired Activision Blizzard, Xbox has complete control over the Call of Duty brand, and so it's expected to add the classic CoD games to the Game Pass library.
Other Activision games are on deck for Xbox Game Pass as well. In fact, the same person that leaked Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's Game Pass debut date has said that Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is coming to Game Pass on August 8.
