Xbox Game Pass has confirmed Farworld Pioneers as a brand-new open world co-op game coming to the subscription service on May 30. Xbox Game Pass subscribers are going to have a lot to look forward to in May 2023, especially if they are interested in co-op.
Farworld Pioneers isn't the only co-op game coming to Xbox Game Pass in May 2023. Co-op vampire shooter game Redfall is coming to Xbox Game Pass on May 2, letting up to four players explore a vampire-ridden town with their friends. Farworld Pioneers will be providing a significantly different kind of experience, but one that should still appeal greatly to those looking for new co-op games to play.
For those unfamiliar with the game, Farworld Pioneers is an open world game where players explore alien planets solo or with friends. Players can work together or compete against each other in multiplayer servers that support up to 32 people. According to official descriptions, the game lets players recruit AI survivors, build their own colonies, craft items, farm, and more. It uses a 2D perspective instead of 3D like most open world games do, which could go a long way in helping it stand out among other open world games on the market.
Farworld Pioneers sounds like a unique and fun experience on paper, and luckily, anyone intrigued by the premise can try it with their Xbox Game Pass subscription on the very day that it releases, May 30. Farworld Pioneers isn't the only day one Xbox Game Pass game coming in May either, so Xbox Game Pass subscribers should have plenty of new titles to look forward to next month.
Besides the previously mentioned Redfall and Farworld Pioneers, Xbox Game Pass subscribers have three other games to look forward to in May 2023 so far. Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 is coming to Game Pass on May 11, while Amnesia: The Bunker is joining the lineup on May 16. Railway Empire 2, meanwhile, is scheduled to join Xbox Game Pass on May 25. There will almost certainly be many more games added to Xbox Game Pass in May 2023 as well, but subscribers to Microsoft's subscription service will have to wait for next month to roll around to get a clearer picture of what all they can expect.
There's plenty for Xbox Game Pass subscribers to look forward to in May 2023, but there are still new games coming to the service in April as well. There are multiple new Xbox Game Pass games still to come in April 2023, with two of the most notable being day one game Minecraft Legends on April 18 and The Last Case of Benedict Fox, which is joining Game Pass on April 27.
