Today is the last day that Xbox Game Pass subscribers can play three of the service's games, and so anyone interested in potentially keeping the games should use this opportunity to try before they buy. Xbox Game Pass subscribers have to say goodbye to various games on the platform every single month, with departing titles leaving in two distinct batches. The first batch of games is removed on the 15th, and the second batch of games is removed on the last day of the month.
At the time of this writing, Microsoft has yet to announce which Xbox Game Pass games will be leaving at the end of September 2025. However, it has announced the Xbox Game Pass titles leaving on the 15th. By announcing the departing games in advance, Microsoft gives Xbox Game Pass subscribers the opportunity to play through the games before they leave, or if they don't have time to do that, at least test them before committing to a purchase.
The Best Games On Xbox Game Pass (January 2026)
Xbox Game Pass is unquestionably worth the subscription fee, but which of the available games are the best use of your hard drive space?
It's worth pointing out that Xbox Game Pass games are available at a 20% discount while they're still on the service, so it's not too late for fans to test out the games and save money on their purchase if they decide to acquire them permanently. The three games leaving Xbox Game Pass today are All You Need is Help, Wargroove 2, and We Love Katamari Reroll + Royal Reverie. All You Need is Help is a quirky co-op game where players have to work together with a partner to move shapes around and solve puzzles. Wargroove 2 is a turn-based tactics game directly inspired by Nintendo's Advance Wars series, and We Love Katamari Reroll + Royal Reverie is an enhanced remaster of We Love Katamari with new content thrown in for good measure. All three are solid games and definitely worth a look before they leave Xbox Game Pass after today.

It's always sad when Xbox Game Pass loses games, but on the bright side, fresh titles will be added in the very near future. RoadCraft is coming to Game Pass on September 16, while Commandos: Origins and Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor are joining the lineup on September 17. Frostpunk 2, meanwhile, is on deck for September 18. Microsoft has yet to reveal all the Wave 2 games coming to Game Pass as part of the September 2025 updates, but more information on that front should come to light sooner rather than later.
In the meantime, even more games are confirmed for Xbox Game Pass in October 2025. Ball x Pit, Keeper, Ninja Gaiden 4, Bounty Star, Moonlighter 2, and The Outer Worlds 2 are coming on October 17, 21, 23, 23 again, and 29, respectively. So, while Xbox Game Pass subscribers are having to say goodbye to some solid titles, there are plenty of new games coming in the near future that should make up the difference and then some.
