Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be losing access to three more games come the September 15 update. The 15th of every month is a sad day for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, as that's when a batch of games is removed from the service. Another batch of Game Pass games get the boot at the end of every month as well, though the ones leaving in September 2025 have yet to be announced.
Microsoft likes to announce the Xbox Game Pass games leaving and coming to the service in two waves every month. The first wave of Xbox Game Pass updates for September 2025 have been detailed, confirming all the new games coming in the first couple weeks of the month, as well as the games that will be leaving on September 15.
New Xbox Game Pass Change Is Great News for Subscribers
Microsoft has great news for Xbox Game Pass subscribers across all of its tiers, as the company announces a major change that fans will love.
September 15 will mark the last day that Xbox Game Pass subscribers can play All You Need is Help, Wargroove 2, and We Love Katamari Reroll + Royal Reverie. After that day, all three games will be pulled from the Xbox Game Pass library. There's always a chance that they could return at some point down the line, though that's not a guarantee. Game Pass subscribers that want to retain access to these games will need to purchase them outright, which they can do at a 20% discount while they're still on the service.
Xbox Game Pass Games Leaving on September 15
- All You Need is Help
- Wargroove 2
- We Love Katamari Reroll + Royal Reverie
For those unfamiliar with the games, All You Need is Help is a quirky co-op game where players work together with their friends locally or online to solve puzzles by moving shapes around. Wargroove 2, meanwhile, is a turn-based tactics game similar to the Advance Wars series. It earned mostly positive reviews at the time of its release in 2023, and so it's sad to see it removed from the Game Pass lineup. We Love Katamari Reroll also earned mostly positive reviews. It's a remaster of the 2005 cult classic game where players roll around a magical ball that gradually increases in size.
While it's sad that these games are on their way out, there is still time for Xbox Game Pass subscribers to play through them if they're interested. In the meantime, there are plenty of exciting new Xbox Game Pass games right around the corner as well. Hollow Knight: Silksong is joining Game Pass on September 4 alongside Cataclismo, while PAW Patrol World is coming on September 10 and RoadCraft is joining the lineup on September 16.
