Xbox Game Pass users will soon lose access to six games as they leave the subscription service in February 2023. Xbox Game Pass allows members to play a wide variety of games at no additional cost, with some of them being day one releases. In addition to all first-party Xbox games on day one, Microsoft also offers some third-party and indie titles at launch.
Games leave Xbox Game Pass regularly, as Microsoft removed a bunch of titles from the library in January including We Happy Few, Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, Windjammers 2, and Worms WMD among others. Now, the list of titles leaving Xbox Game Pass this month has been revealed, confirming that members do not have long to play these six games.
As reported by TrueAchievements, Xbox Game Pass will lose Skul: The Hero Slayer, The Last Kids on Earth and the Staff of Doom, Recompile, CrossfireX: Operation Catalyst, Infernax, and Besiege at or around February 15. Users can find a leaving soon section featuring a list of all six games, stating that they will exit the Xbox Game Pass library in two weeks. It should be noted that members who want to continue playing these games after they leave Xbox Game Pass can take advantage of a discount of up to 20%.

Microsoft usually announces games coming to Xbox Game Pass in batches, but a few games are already confirmed to be joining the list in February 2023. It was previously announced that Darkest Dungeon, Grid Legends, and Hot Wheels Unleashed will be added to Xbox Game Pass in the first week of February, with Atomic Heart launching as a day one release on February 21.
Curiously, Hot Wheels Unleashed was scheduled to release on Xbox Game Pass in December 2022, but the game was removed from the final list. So, Xbox Game Pass members who were disappointed by this news can play Hot Wheels Unleashed – Game of the Year Edition starting February 7.
Xbox Game Pass is off to a great start in 2023, with some critically acclaimed games already added to the library as day one releases. This includes the ports of Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Monster Hunter Rise, and a new game called Hi-Fi Rush, which was announced and released on Xbox Game Pass on the same day. It’ll be interesting to see if Microsoft can continue this trend for the rest of the year, with many highly anticipated games coming from first-party studios in 2023.
