Day one Xbox Game Pass game Party Animals will be leaving the service after December 31. Party Animals was originally added to Xbox Game Pass on the very day of its launch, September 30, 2023. It earned mostly positive reviews from critics at the time of its release, with many praising it for essentially a more polished and fully-featured take on the Gang Beasts concept.

Party Animals was one of the better day one Xbox Game Pass games added in 2023, and proved to be a hit on the service. While it may not be nearly as big as it was when it first launched, there are still those playing Party Animals with their friends through Xbox Game Pass. Sadly, those individuals will soon be losing access to the game, as it's been confirmed exactly when Party Animals is leaving Xbox Game Pass.

As confirmed by the official Party Animals Twitter account, the physics-based multiplayer brawler is going to leave Xbox Game Pass on December 31, 2024. As a thank you to fans who have enjoyed playing Party Animals through Xbox Game Pass this past year, the developers are offering Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers a 50% discount from January 1 to January 31. This way, any Game Pass Ultimate subscribers that want to keep playing Party Animals after it's removed from Game Pass can do so without paying full price for the game.

Xbox Game Pass is Losing Party Animals on December 31

Party Animals continues to receive new updates, so Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers that do decide to purchase the game to keep will have fresh content to look forward to in the weeks and months ahead. In the meantime, the future is bright for Party Animals beyond the new content that is being whipped up for the game - if the rumors are to be believed, anyway.

Back in July, a PlayStation Store listing suggested that Party Animals was making its way to PS4 and PS5. No such announcement has been made to date, but it's believed by many that the listing, while posted in error, was accurate. Assuming Party Animals is coming to PlayStation as rumored, it seems likely that the game will make its debut after the title leaves Xbox Game Pass on December 31. Then again, it's entirely possible Party Animals will come to PlayStation consoles sooner than expected. Whatever the case may be, Game Pass subscribers are running out of time to enjoy the game through their subscription.
