It's been confirmed that Atlas Fallen is leaving Xbox Game Pass in August 2025, joining the three games that were previously confirmed to be on the way out. The list of available Xbox Game Pass games is constantly changing. Every month, new games are added to the service, and every month, a batch of games is removed from the lineup.
When Microsoft announced the Wave 1 Xbox Game Pass additions for August 2025, it also confirmed three games that would be getting the boot on August 15. On August 15, Xbox Game Pass subscribers will have to say goodbye to Anthem, Farming Simulator 22, and Persona 3 Reload. Unfortunately, it seems that a fourth game leaving Game Pass was forgotten about in the initial announcement, and so subscribers will want to plan accordingly.
Xbox Game Pass is Losing One of Its Best Games on August 15
Xbox Game Pass subscribers are running out of time to play one of the best games on the service.
Atlas Fallen is Leaving Xbox Game Pass
As pointed out by TrueAchievements, loading Atlas Fallen through Xbox Game Pass triggers a message warning that the game is being removed from the service "after August 15." This means that the last day to play Atlas Fallen on Game Pass will be August 15, with the action-RPG following the other three games out the door. Needless to say, anyone interested in playing Atlas Fallen through their Game Pass subscription will want to make sure they do so by August 15.
For those unfamiliar with the game, Atlas Fallen is an action-RPG with 2-player co-op that was first released in 2023. It earned mixed reviews, but it definitely has its defenders, and is the kind of game that's perfect to play through Game Pass. Playing Atlas Fallen co-op should be much easier to do while it's still on Game Pass and no one has to buy it outright, so subscribers may want to alert their co-op partner to its impending departure. The good news is that Atlas Fallen is relatively short and can be beaten in less than 15 hours, so there should be plenty of time to beat the game between now and when it's removed on August 15.
Atlas Fallen was developed by Deck13, so fans of that studio's other games may especially want to make sure that they play it before it's gone. Deck13, for the uninitiated, is the studio behind the original Lord of the Fallen game as well as the underrated Surge series of Soulslike games. Atlas Fallen isn't a Soulslike game and is instead inspired by action-adventure titles like the 2018 God of War game.
