Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be able to play seven new Xbox Game Pass Day One games from July 11 to July 19, including the Tchia and Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess. While five of the Xbox Game Pass Day One games releasing in July had been announced previously, the addition of two more titles has made more fans of the subscription service excited.

Xbox Game Pass has been a solid staple for many Microsoft fans. The introduction of many Day One titles has allowed more gamers to get their money's worth with the subscription service. The service itself has not skimped on anything, as many AAA games have made their way to Xbox Game Pass. However, what many subscribers really enjoy is the premise of Day One games being part of the service. Being able to play certain launch games as part of the subscription has allowed players to experience the likes of Wo-Long: Fallen Dynasty, Redfall, and the like, without having to spend more. Now, two more games will join the original list of five Xbox Game Pass Day One titles for July 2024.

According to a tweet by Klobrille, Neon White and Tchia will be coming to Xbox Day One on July 11. While Tchia has been out on other consoles, the game will be making its debut on Xbox Series X/S as part of the Game Pass. The open-world action-adventure title has had slight comparisons with the feel and style of Nintendo's Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Meanwhile, Neon White had also released back in 2022 for other consoles, but it is only making its Xbox debut in 2024. The sleek FPS and Puzzle-Platforming title was developed by Annapurna Interactive to rave reviews.

Xbox Game Pass Day One Games for July 2024

  • July 11 - Tchia
  • July 11 - Neon White
  • July 16 - Magical Delicacy
  • July 16 - Flock
  • July 18 - Dungeons of Hinterberg
  • July 18 - Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn
  • July 19 - Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess

Out of the seven games, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess looks to have the most fanfare. It's a Capcom-developed game that blends action, strategy and tower defense, and focuses on Japanese Mythology. Some say that there are several similarities to the fan-favorite game Okami, but Capcom has stated that Kunitsu-Gamu is a unique experience.

While seven Day One releases is a large number, some of the comments have stated how they aren't fans of the current line-up of releases. A few fans felt that the announced games could be filler material, and one fan even asked whether people would actually play the titles. However, there seemed to be collective hope that the games would provide a fun and unique experience for subscibers of the Xbox Game Pass service. After all, Xbox and Microsoft have been known to suddenly announce stacked Xbox Game Pass lineups. Not to mention, some of the games included in this batch have previously released on other systems to good reception.
