Xbox Game Pass Confirms 2 More Games for September

Expeditions: A MudRunner Game and Riders Republic are officially coming to Xbox Game Pass in September. Microsoft’s subscription service continues to be a tantalizing option for gamers who like to have a large selection of titles to choose from at any time. With three tiers, and a fourth on the way, Xbox Game Pass offers something for nearly everybody. Gamers who want it all can opt for an Ultimate membership; people who like variety but are leery of an expensive monthly subscription can go for Core.

Every month, Xbox Game Pass adds several titles to its catalogue and removes a few to make room for them. September is already shaping up to be an exciting month, particularly for fans of city-building or real-time strategy games. Age of Mythology: Retold is joining the service on September 4, and Frostpunk 2 will arrive a few weeks later, on September 20. And there are plenty of other games to look forward to as well.

It had already been rumored for a while that Expeditions: A MudRunner Game would be coming to Xbox Game Pass, though it missed the expected August release. Instead, Xbox has confirmed that Saber Interactive’s offroad driving game will be hitting the subscription service on September 5. It will be followed on September 11 by Riders Republic, an open-world multiplayer sports game by Ubisoft Annecy.

Released in March 2024, Expeditions: A MudRunner Game is, as its name implies, a spin-off of the MudRunner series. Like its predecessors, this vehicle sim lets players get behind the wheel of all-terrain scouts and trucks. But this time, instead of focusing on cargo transport, the goal is to explore the wilderness of some truly beautiful locations. Players can upgrade their offroaders and equip them with a range of fun gadgets, like an echo sounder to gauge water depth and a winch to climb steep slopes. There will also be a base camp to manage and a team of truckers to oversee, along with a drone to help plan the route.

Xbox Game Pass - Confirmed Titles for September 2024

Riders Republic keeps players outside, this time on a mountain bike, skis, snowboard, or even sailing high in a wingsuit. Released in October 2021, the sports game offers both a career mode and competitive multiplayer. In career mode, players will slowly climb the ranks of various competitions to eventually test their skills in the Riders Ridge Invitational. On Xbox Series X/S, the game’s multiplayer mode supports up to 50 players competing simultaneously, a big jump from Xbox One’s 20-player limit. There’s also a 6v6 competitive mode where the teams try to perform as many tricks as possible to earn points. And, of course, Riders Republic offers player customization options, with new outfits and cosmetic items unlocked via the game’s career mode.
