Generally speaking, it's been a pretty decent year for Xbox Game Pass. 2024 has brought long-awaited third-party games like Resident Evil 2 and 3 Remake to Game Pass, along with Indie day-one launches like Still Wakes the Deep and Manor Lords, and of course, major first-party additions like Activision's Diablo 4 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. But things are about to get even better for Xbox Game Pass subscribers.

There are five day-one launches currently confirmed for Xbox Game Pass for the rest of 2024. At the very least, these games will be noteworthy additions to Game Pass that help to bolster the value of the service, but each one has the potential to be some of the year's most critically acclaimed titles. From first-party juggernauts to potential Indie darlings, Xbox Game Pass subscribers have a lot to look forward to in the next few months.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 - October 25

One of the biggest games of 2024, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be coming to Xbox Game Pass on launch day, marking one of the first Activision titles to land on the subscription service on day one. Though a final verdict won't be available until launch, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 looks like it could end up being the return to form for the franchise that fans have been longing for. Black Ops 6 will offer 16 original multiplayer maps on launch, two round-based Zombies maps, and a full-length campaign set around a decade after the events of Black Ops Cold War.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 - November 19

A sleeper hit every time a new one rolls around, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will undoubtedly be a major critical success upon its launch in November, with it upping the ante in some significant ways. Along with offering a digital recreation of the entire planet, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will be adding a career mode that lets players become an assortment of different types of pilots, from rescue helicopter pilots to VIP charter jet captains. Flight Sim 2024 is set to hit console and PC simultaneously, and it'll be a day-one launch on Xbox and PC Game Pass.

STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl - November 20

A sequel well over a decade in the making, STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl has had an incredibly difficult development period, with developer GSC Game World being caught right in the middle of the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine. But after many delays, STALKER 2 is finally set to launch on November 20, where it's also set to hit Xbox Game Pass. For those unaware of the series, STALKER 2 will be a first-person survival horror shooter that sees players explore the titular abandoned city and encounter an array of deadly "Anomalies."

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle - December 9

Another one of 2024's most anticipated games, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is set for a December release on Xbox Game Pass. Set between Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle tells an original globe-hopping story that will take players to Rome, Egypt, Shanghai, and other real-world locations. The Great Circle will feature mostly first-person gameplay, with a heavy emphasis on puzzle-solving and hand-to-hand combat.

The Alters - 2024

Being developed by 11 Bit Studios (the same studio behind the recently released Frostpunk 2), The Alters is a Sci-Fi survival game that will see players clone themselves to complete certain tasks. There's still no confirmed release date for The Alters, but it was recently included in Microsoft's official 2024 roadmap for Xbox Game Pass.
