Under Phil Spencer's direction the past few years, the Xbox brand has continued to evolve with new games, new studios, and user-friendly services such as the Xbox Game Pass. This subscription service offers a Netflix-like experience for Xbox players, featuring over 100 games that users can download and play for as long as their subscription is active. Better yet, many first party titles arrive on the service at launch like Forza Horizon 4, Sea of Thieves, and even upcoming games like Crackdown 3. With the end of the year quickly arriving, new holiday sales have started to pop up including one from Amazon that has significantly reduced the cost of a subscription to Xbox Game Pass.

Displaying as a holiday offer, players can head over to Amazon to find that the 12-month subscription to the Xbox Game Pass has seen a $50 USD discount from its normal $119.99 price tag. Interested buyers can now score the offer at only $69.99 for a digital code which can be redeemed instantly after purchase or saved and activated at a later date. There's no telling how long this deal will last, so potential buyers should move quickly before the 12-month subscription goes back to its full price.

Once activated, the player gains access to over 100 games to download to their Xbox console, with new games being added each month. Subscribers can even opt to purchase the game outright, with a special discount typically applied on top of it. The service has also seen a lot of high profile games added in the past couple of weeks from Mortal Kombat X to Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice  to the first wave of Winter of Arcade indie titles like Ashen and Below as well.

Originally announced two years ago, the Game Pass service has continued to evolve and grow over the past couple of years. With an introductory offer of just $1 for the first month and a rapidly expanding roster of games available, Xbox Game Pass is a fantastic deal for Xbox fans. It's clear that the service is very important to Microsoft in general, as the software giant dedicated a lot of time during the X018 event last month in Mexico City to reveal new information and games such as PUBG and the Winter of Arcade titles arriving to the service before the end of 2018.
