Microsoft's premium controller for Xbox consoles, the Elite comes with adjustable-tension thumbsticks, a wrap-around rubberized grip, and shorter hair trigger locks. One of the main attractions is the modular setup, which allows gamers to easily switch between components. The companion app also allows customizable button mapping.
Three custom profiles are stored internally on the controller and are easily selected during gameplay. Up to 40 hours of battery life on the included rechargeable battery ensures nonstop wireless gaming bliss.
Amazon accidentally listed the Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 for just $60, down from its usual price of $179.99, as part of its early Black Friday deals, but it has since canceled orders. Amazon is slashing prices across the board in the lead-up to Black Friday, though it seems some of the online retail giant's deals are too good to be true.
The Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 is one of the most expensive video game controllers available, and for good reason. It offers console gamers unprecedented customization options, with swappable parts and the ability to remap buttons. As one of the industry's premiere gaming controllers, it's unsurprising that fans jumped on the opportunity to buy the controller for $60 instead of the usual asking price of $179.99. The deal was available on the morning of November 21 for a limited time, but it was apparently made in error.
For a short window on November 21, Amazon shoppers were able to add a $60 Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 to their cart. The extremely low price point made the Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 cheaper than the Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 Core (meant to be a budget version of the Xbox Elite Controller Series 2) as well as standard Xbox controllers. Some may have assumed that this deal was too good to be true, and they were correct. Amazon did not intentionally list the Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 for $60, and it is not honoring the price for anyone that managed to purchase one. From our own testing, we can confirm that Amazon has canceled orders for the controller.
Amazon is still offering a discount on the Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 as part of its early Black Friday deals, at 36%, bringing the price down to $115. This is still a decent deal to be sure, but a far cry from being able to get the controller for $60. Anyone upset that their $60 Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 deal was canceled may still want to buy it at the adjusted price point, or they may want to get another cheap controller instead.
Luckily, the standard Xbox controllers are currently available at a discount as part of Amazon's early Black Friday deals. The standard Shock Blue Xbox controller is available for $44.99, while prices vary for some of the other controllers.
Most Xbox gamers are going to want to go with an official controller from Microsoft, but there's also the PowerA Spectra Infinity Enhanced Wire Controller for Xbox Series X, discounted to $39.99 as part of the early Black Friday Deals.
