Thrustmaster has recently announced pre-orders for a new officially licensed Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Xbox controller. This new Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree gamepad is compatible with Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Windows, and comes with several advanced functionalities, but also a very high price: $200.

Elden Ring’s expansion has just been released, and it’s already making history. Right now, Shadow of the Erdtree is the highest-rated video game DLC ever made, with a score of 94 on OpenCritic. Critics have been praising the DLC’s in-depth exploration, huge size, and high difficulty, and it seems like a great pick for gamers who can’t get enough of FromSoftware’s main game.

To commemorate the launch of the Elden Ring DLC, Thrustmaster decided to unveil its new “Thrustmaster eSwap X2 Official ELDEN RING Shadow of the Erdtree Modular Controller Gamepad.” This Xbox controller is very expensive with its $200 price tag, but it looks really good with Elden Ring-inspired details, and it has several unique features, like the other Thrustmaster eSwap controllers. For instance, the gamepad can easily be tailored to a gamer’s experience, as it uses a “hot-swap technology” that allows players to change modules, determining where they want the buttons to be.

Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree Xbox Controller Features

  • Fully compatible with Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Windows.
  • It allows players to swap modules freely.
  • Mechanical buttons are 64% faster than usual.
  • Equipped with two reinforced S5 NXG mini-stick modules
  • It has four additional buttons on the back.
  • The controller comes with physical locking latches for the LT/RT triggers.

This Thrustmaster Xbox gamepad also has two reinforced S5 NXG mini-stick modules, which are very precise, four additional buttons on the back that can be remapped, and physical latches for the LT/RT triggers. Another interesting feature is that the controller’s response is around 64% quicker than usual, ideal due to the Elden Ring DLC's high difficulty level, which requires precision and fast response. The only downside of the gamepad is that it’s not wireless like normal Xbox controllers. Overall, this is an expensive joystick that can be perfect for people who intend to play Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree for a while. However, they will have to hold on to playing the DLC if they want to do it with the controller, as pre-orders are available, but the product will only be available in August.

Xbox certainly has no shortage of custom controllers. Earlier this month, Hyperkin announced a new Xbox Series X/S gamepad called DuchesS, which will also be available in August. This joystick will cost $50 and is inspired by the S Model gamepad for the original Xbox, and seems like a perfect pick for old-school gamers who miss this classic joystick.
