Morrison is best known for his time in WWE, but he has also appeared for other major wrestling companies over the years.Morrison's WWE career has had some significant highlights, like his tag team title reign with Joey Mercury as MNM and his various singles championship victories. Morrison's most recent run in WWE was from 2019 to 2021, culminating in a rivalry with his longtime partner The Miz. Since his release from WWE, Morrison has competed on AEW television as Johnny Elite and has wrestled under various names on the independent circuit. John Morrison is scheduled to compete at Dreamwave Wrestling's Anniversary 8 event in LaSalle, Illinois on April 22 as Johnny Dreamwave. Dreamwave Wrestling tweeted out that Morrison was in a car accident this morning that ultimately caused him to have to get on a different flight than originally planned. Morrison was planned to be at a meet and greet prior to the show, but will now be signing autographs after the event to make it up to the fans. "Sorry for the inconvenience, and big shout out to John for being a true professional," Dreamwave said on Twitter. Further details about the car accident are not available at the time of this writing.
