Summary

  • Patch 1.19 fixes gameplay concerns, adds compatibility with DLC & new characters.
  • New Global Superstars Pack adds DLC characters & weapons like Carlito's apple.
  • MyFaction Persona cards and game stability issues also addressed in the patch.

WWE 2K24 has just released Patch 1.19, which addresses many in-game concerns. While the game has continued to be criticized by some fans, WWE 2K24 has been hard at work in fixing many of the issues that have plagued the game. Not to mention, it has been doing so while also adding compatibility with not only upcoming DLC, but also with additional characters being regularly inserted via the MyFaction mode.

The most recent in-game add-on was the WWE 2K24 Global Superstars Pack which added DLC characters such as Jade Cargill, Carlito, Kairi Sane, Michelle McCool, Lyra Valkyria, Nia Jax and Dragon Lee. That DLC also included a new weapon in the form of Carlito's apple. At the same time the compatibility patch for the pack released, Persona cards such as "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner were also introduced. However, some fans have mentioned that there were a few issues with the character.

WWE 2K Players Are Adding Marvel Characters Like Deadpool and Wolverine to Their Games

WWE 2K players expand their fantasy roster by adding famous Marvel Superheroes such as Deadpool and Wolverine to their game.

While the patch notes don't necessarily detail what was fixed with the MyFaction Persona card, it does state that reported concerns related to Big Poppa Pump (Scott Steiner '98) were addressed. Previous concerns include the incorrectly assigned entrance, as well as game crashes when assigning the correct one. Adjustments to game stability, various moveset issues, Universe mode fixes, and Special Referee matches in custom arenas were also mentioned in the patch notes. This is refreshing to hear as an older WWE 2K24 patch reportedly broke the game more than it fixed.

Why Are Succeeding WWE 2K24 Patches Critical At This Stage of the Game?

With the game's final DLC pack releasing on November 2024, it's safe to assume that the developers will focus on MyFaction content and squashing out all the existing bugs and glitches before the next game in the series comes out. And while many notorious and ridiculous issues are still present in WWE 2K24, the 2K and Visual Concepts and 2K team have been regularly doing their part to keep the game in good shape. The unannounced content such as Persona cards and new weapon types alone are a great bonus to WWE 2K fans.

However, there are still quite a number of die-hard fans who continue to wish that the developers address not just the online issues, but also to add relevant content to WWE 2K24 such as missing arenas like WWE's Crown Jewel. And while this request might not be as simple as most expect, many believe that if the team can't fix or add the requested items now, then it might be lost in the shuffle for the following year's iteration of the game. Hopefully, the game's most glaring issues can be addressed before its lifespan is over.
