WWE 2K24 will be introducing a few gimmick-swapped Superstars to the game soon. Since Persona cards debuted in WWE 2K24's MyFaction, several alternate versions of characters have been added in the last few months. The mode has given the developers an opportunity to debut and create new costumes and gimmicks for those included in the roster. What makes Persona cards great is that these unlockables can be used in other modes besides the aforementioned MyFaction.
The mode has seen the likes of Big Poppa Pump Scott Steiner added to WWE 2K24. In a similar case, character models from previous games such as older versions of Sheamus and Triple H have been added as Persona cards as well. However, aside from these Superstar gimmicks rooted in history, a few original ideas have also come from this initiative. One such pack could be coming to WWE 2K24 soon.

An interesting WWE 2K24 leak found within the latest patch brings good news to fans of the Straight-Edge Superstar CM Punk.
Popular WWE 2K24 content creator WhatsTheStatus has shared their discovery of an upcoming set of gimmick-swapped Superstars. The new WWE 2K24 Persona cards will be coming to MyFaction in the near future and will include the likes of CM Punk as Roddy Piper, and Rhea Ripley as Triple H, among others. There's also Kevin Owens dressed as Stone Cold Steve Austin, complete with a bald cap. WhatsTheStatus has added that two additional characters have been found to have data, but no models can be found in the game at the moment. The two rumored inclusions are Shawn Michaels as Hulk Hogan and Undertaker as Shawn Michaels.

It has been a while since the game added fantasy characters. The last original idea was when WWE 2K24 added the Demastered in patch 1.11. Even then, the new stuff itself was mostly just a few characters with low-polygon models. While WWE has explored the notion of gimmick-swapping before via various WWE photoshoots, most of the inclusions here are based on stark comparisons. The most obvious one of these is Kevin Owens as Stone Cold due to the former using the latter's Stunner finisher.
Many in the comments section believe that there's potential for MyFaction packs such as these. For those who remember, WWE 2K20's DLC went the fantasy route and added fictional alternate versions of the existing wrestlers. While that game received terrible reception due to its many bugs, many recall that it was a bold and brave idea to try something new to freshen up the roster. Hopefully, WWE 2K24's MyFaction Persona cards can try and explore this concept of originality. There could be future hope to see the likes of Southpaw Wrestling again, or even other unique ideas.
