WWE 2K24 could be bringing an alternate version of The Fiend Bray Wyatt into the game. As WWE 2K24 continues to bring new character model updates via its MyFaction mode, many fans regularly ask the developers regarding certain Superstars it could introduce into the fold. Versions like Juan Cena, Big Poppa Pump Scott Steiner, Masked Dominik Mysterio, and others are just some of the playable ones that were introduced through MyFaction.
One such Superstar who has garnered such high demand is Bray Wyatt. Unfortunately, Bray Wyatt's death had come at a time when he was rumored to be getting a major rebranding. While many versions of Wyatt are already included in WWE 2K24, a WWE documentary previously revealed the Superstar's supposed new look upon his intended in-ring return prior to his passing which, sadly, did not make it into the game. However, a new tease by WWE 2K24 seems to imply its arrival in the game.
WWE 2K24 Releases Update 1.19
WWE 2K24's update 1.19 includes many changes and fixes that address existing bugs and issues, and additional concerns regarding new characters.
WWE 2K24 shared a teaser clip of a new alternate version of Bray Wyatt based on his WWE documentary Bray Wyatt: Becoming Immortal. The footage showed some cryptic scary images, plus a few seconds of Wyatt's appearance, complete with a different lantern, while teasing a release date of October 16, 2024. Many fans have speculated that this could mean either a MyFaction exclusive character or a special game re-release version similar to WWE 2K23's Bad Bunny Edition.
A Great Way to Honor Bray Wyatt and The Fiend's Legacy in WWE
While no confirmation from the development team has been given, popular WWE 2K community creator WhatsTheStatus has been able to look deep into the files and discover that the new character will be known as Bray Wyatt '23. Status was also able to load the new lantern into the game to see how it would look once it is added. Still, even they are unsure whether the character would be MyFaction exclusive.
While Bray Wyatt did not get to officially debut this new look, many fans who've watched the documentary have been obsessed with the attire. And while the WWE 2K series' trusty creation suite has allowed generations of players to recreate costumes and alternate versions of their favorite Superstars, having an officially licensed version of a character as part of the game gives fans the authenticity they prefer. Not to mention, the assets come straight from the company itself.
With an Uncle Howdy and Wyatt Sicks update also rumored to be coming to WWE 2K24, many fans can not wait to honor Bray Wyatt's legacy in WWE. It's possible that the new trailer and the rumors could be connected, and if it is, it would truly be a great tribute to Wyatt.
