The timed pinning system from WWE 2K23 returns in WWE 2K24. Players have a choice between mashing buttons or using the mini-game to escape pinfall attempts. The timed mini-game is immersive, but can be difficult with the default settings. The timing is very challenging after getting hit with several finishing moves in WWE 2K24, making it almost impossible to kick out.
Thankfully, WWE 2K24 has difficulty sliders to suit your needs and playing style. With the right settings, you can have more exciting matches with false finishes and near falls to simulate the televised product. This guide will explain how the difficulty sliders work, to help players find a system that works for them.

Use these settings to customize your matches to maximize the realism and drama in WWE 2K24.
WWE 2K24's Mini-Game Settings Explained
To locate the Mini-Game Settings menu, head into the Advanced tab under the Gameplay option menu. Before diving into the pinning system, you will need to understand how finishers in WWE 2K24 influence the mini-game's difficulty.
Regardless of the settings, if your wrestler or the opponent has their vitality bar in black and some body parts in the red zone, it's more challenging to escape a signature or a finisher.
- Recent Finisher Influence (Player): Determines how difficult kicking out of a finishing move in WWE 2K24 is when pinned within a few seconds. Lower this setting if you're struggling against the AI.
- Previous Finisher Influence (Player): If your WWE wrestler gets hit with the two finishers, kicking out of a pin is more difficult for the remainder of the match. Lower this setting if you want longer matches on Hard and Legend mode.
- Previous Finisher Influence 3+ (Player): Determines the difficulty of the mini-game after three finishing moves. Lower this setting for a better chance at kicking out. The mini-game is still challenging in Hard and Legend mode. The challenge increases with more finishers.
- Recent Signature Influence (Player): Determines how difficult the pinning mini-game is after a signature. Lower this setting if you don't want signature moves to end the match.
- Previous Signature Influence (Player): Determines the difficulty of the mini-game after two signature moves. Lower this if you don't want to get pinned after two signature moves.
- Previous Signature Influence 3+ (Player): The mini-game is more challenging after getting hit with three signature moves. Lower it for a better chance at kicking out. Hard and Legend modes still make it a challenge to escape the pin.
- Recent Finisher Influence (AI): Determines whether the computer-controlled wrestler escapes the pin after one finisher. Lower it for longer matches, or increase it if you want your wrestler to dominate their opponents in squash matches.
- Previous Finisher Influence (AI): Determines if the computer-controlled character kicks out after two finishers. Lower it if you want the AI to escape the pin for longer matches or increase it for shorter matches.
- Previous Finisher Influence 3+ (AI): Determines the chances of the computer-controlled character kicking out after three finishers. Lower it if you want the match to go on after three finishers, or increase it if you want the opponent to stay down.
The sliders only go so far when escaping pins. Use wrestlers with high stats in the Pin Escape Attribute.
- Recent Signature Influence (AI): Determines how easily the computer-controlled wrestler kicks out of one finisher when pinned after getting hit. Lower this if you want a longer match, or increase it so that the signatures are as damaging as a finisher.
- Previous Signature Influence (AI): Determines how easily the computer-controlled WWE wrestler escapes the pin after getting hit with two signature moves. Lower it if you want longer matches, or increase it for a better chance of pinning the AI after two signature moves.
- Previous Signature Influence 3+ (AI): Determines the chance of the AI escaping a pin after three or more signatures. Lower it for longer matches, or increase it to finish the opponent sooner.
Try and avoid getting your wrestler's vitality bar in black, as this will make it more difficult to escape. It's still easier than the default settings, but the flag speed increases, and the green bar will decrease in size.
WWE 2K24: Advanced Submission Sliders Guide
Matches in WWE 2K24 are highly customizable with sliders, and here is how the advanced submission sliders work.
Undertstanding WWE 2K24's Timed Pin Mini-Game Sliders
The timed mini-games in WWE 2K24 can be challenging depending on one's aptitude for quick-time events. WWE 2K24 has a range of settings to help alleviate some of the difficulty and get more exciting and longer matches.
- Easy Pin Indicator Flag Speed: Determines the speed of the indicator flag. Lower this bar if you don't want to get pinned from standard grapples, small packages, etc.
- Moderate Pin Indicator Flag Speed: The flag speed will increase as the match wears on and you take more damage. Lower the bar if you want a better chance of kicking out of early signature and finishing moves.
- Difficult Pin Indicator Flag Speed: Lower this bar if you want a better chance of kicking out finishers, or if your vitality bar is in the black and your body has taken too much damage. Note that even with the setting at zero, the flag indicator will still move.
- Easy Pin Kickout Zone Size: Increase the bar if you want a larger green zone size in easy pin attempts.
- Moderate Pin Kickout Zone Size: After taking damage from signatures and finishers, the green zone will decrease. Increase the bar for a larger green zone.
- Difficult Pin Kickout Zone Size: The green zone will decrease when your wrestler has taken too much damage, gotten hit with a Super Finisher, or consecutive finishers. Lower this as much as possible if you want a fighting chance of kicking out.
- Easy Pin Kickout Zone Speed, Moderate Kickout Zone Speed, and Difficult Kickout Zone Speed: This stops the green bar from moving if set at zero.
Even if the mini-game settings are in your favor, it's still challenging to escape pins. Yet, it's more achievable even after Roman Reigns has hit your wrestler with three finishing moves in a row.
