Love him or loathe him, it's difficult to dispute John Cena's status as one of the greatest WWE Superstars of all time. He's won just about all there is to win and has enjoyed a phenomenal wrestling career that has now spanned four decades. With this in mind, it seems only fitting that the final match of WWE 2K23's Showcase Mode sees Cena come up against three of the industry's other all-time greats.

Council of Legends is the only WWE 2K23 Showcase Mode match in which players get to control Cena, doing so in a Fatal Fourway match against "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, and Bruno Sammartino. Completing all three objectives will reward players with both the Hulk Hogan and Bruno Sammartino unlockable Superstars, making this one of the most rewarding Showcase Mode matches in WWE 2K23.

Showcase Mode: Match 17 Objectives (How to Unlock Hulk Hogan and Bruno Sammartino)

Objective	Requirement
Bruno's got strength, and he's gonna need it after you Eliminate him!	Unlike in previous Showcase Mode matches, there is no correct order when it comes to completing the objectives in Match 17. As such, players can choose to eliminate their three opponents in whatever order they like, though it's important that they are the ones to secure the eliminations, meaning that they'll need to be ready to break up any pinfall attempts made by the other Superstars. All in all, this shouldn't be too difficult, particularly with the following tips and tricks in mind: The computer-controlled Superstars will rarely attempt to break up a pin, so players don't need to worry about clearing the ring before securing a three-count. There are no ring-outs or disqualifications in Match 17 of Showcase Mode, so players can use weapons to soften up their opponents if needed. Throwing two of the other wrestlers outside of the ring using Hammer Throws can allow players to focus on a single opponent without being distracted. It also decreases the chances of them having to break up any pin attempts. Computer-controlled Superstars will generally target the Superstar closest to them, so players can back off and allow the other three Superstars to beat the crap out of each other if they're worried about taking too much damage. Council of Legends gets easier with every elimination, so players should focus on taking out their three opponents one at a time rather than trying to soften them all up at once.
