Match 8 of WWE 2K23's Showcase Mode is called A Revolutionary Cashing In and focuses on the unforgettable 2006 New Year's Revolution event. As the title of the match might suggest, this is when Edge decided to make history by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract to take advantage of a weakened John Cena, who had just taken part in a brutal 6-man Elimination Chamber match.
Unlike the previous Showcase Mode match between Edge and John Cena, this one is incredibly short, with only four different objectives for players to complete. It just so happens that there are four rewards available too, these being the Edge '06 and John Cena '06 unlockable Superstars, the New Year's Revolution '06 Arena, and New Year's Revolution Attire for Lita '06.

With at least one bar of the Finisher meter filled and Cena standing in the ring, run toward him and then press either R2 + X (PlayStation) or RT + A (Xbox) to perform a Spear. |

As with the previous objective, players simply need to run toward Cena while he is standing in the ring and then press either R2 + X (PlayStation) or RT + A (Xbox). This will only work, however, if players have filled at least one bar of the Finisher meter. |

With Cena on the ground in the ring, flick the right analog stick down to perform a Pin. To save time, players can initiate a Pin by flicking the analog stick down while Edge is performing the Spear, though, depending on the difficulty setting that players have chosen, they may need to inflict a bit more damage in order to secure a three-count. |
