WWE 2K23 has near-endless wrestling moves, holds, and attacks in the move sets. Players can tailor their favorite wrestler's sets to their liking or leave it the way the developer intended. It's a great way to keep a performer's moves up to date, particularly as they can add new things to their repertoire.
This is the case for Cody Rhodes, who frequently performs a springboard Cody Cutter from the corner in matches. Amazingly, the developers have added the corner variation , so players can add it as part of Cody Rhodes' move set in WWE 2K23.
How To Add Cody Rhodes' Hidden Signature Moves
Cody Rhodes already has one of the most versatile and unique move-sets in WWE 2K23. He performs his father's iconic Bionic Elbows and his brother's drop-down attacks. His signature move is one of the best in the game, and it's a variation on DDP's Diamond Cutter, which predates Randy Orton's RKO. Yet, the best versions of his Cody Cutter have been hidden away in the customization settings.

To assign Cody Rhodes' second Cody Cutter use the following steps:
- Press the R1/RB button to highlight Creations.
- Under Creations, select Move-Set.
- Highlight and Select Cody Rhodes from the WWE Superstars list.
- Under Normal Edit, select Moves.
- Under Moves, select Springboard.
- Select To Ring.
- Select the Standing Front option.
- Highlight the third option down to Corner Springboard Attack.
- Search for the Cody Cutter 2 under the letter C.
- Press the A/X button to select it and then Accept.
- Press the B/Circle button until it returns to the Normal Edit screen, and Save it.
- Save again in the Normal Edit's Main Menu.
- Under Save Changes To Multiple Modes, Highlight the saved Universe Modes if players desire the new move-set to be included in those and Save.
Springboard Cutter To Ringside
WWE 2K23's Cody Rhodes can even hit his Cody Cutter from the apron to the ringside. Use the following steps to assign it:
- Press the R1/RB button to highlight the Creations menu.
- Under Creations, select Move-Set.
- Highlight and Select Cody Rhodes from the WWE Superstars list.
- Under Normal Edit, select Moves.
- Under Moves, select Springboard.
- Select To Ringside.
- Select Standing Front.
- Highlight the third option down for Apron Springboard to Ringside. It will show as None because there is no move assigned to it.
- Under S, select Springboard Cutter to assign the cutter move.
- Press the B/Circle button to return to the Normal Edit screen and Save it.
- Save again in the Normal Edit's Main Menu.
- Under Save Changes To Multiple Modes, Highlight the saved Universe Modes if players desire the new move-set to be included in those and Save.
How To Perform The Hidden Springboard Cody Cutters
As it's not assigned as a finisher, players can hit their second Cody Cutter without limitations and cause significant damage in the ring. Be wary of overusing as the opponent will reverse them. To Perform the Cody Cutter 2, use the following steps:
Springboard Cody Cutter In The Ring
- During a match, move Cody near the corner and press LB/L1 and X/Square to perform the Springboard Cody Cutter in the ring.
- It's often better to ensure the opponent is stunned before attempting this move.
Springboard Cody Cutter To Ringside
- During the match, throw the opponent to the outside of the ring.
- Stand on the apron outside the ropes and press and hold LB/L1 and then press X/Square to hit the Springboard Cutter to the outside.
Cody has another Springboard Cody Cutter, but that's already assigned to his WWE 2K23 Signature moves and can only be performed when his blue momentum bars are full. With the new signature/finishers added, Cody can hit his Cutter when he wants.
