Shared by Reddit user KarlSQuent, the leak reveals a description of a Wuthering Waves event in which players will get Xiangli Yao if the popularity of the "Xiaoyue Festival" reaches 6,000. The event description says that players will team up with Xiangli Yao to promote the festival preparations of this Wuthering Waves event, and "fulfill the wishes of others" for the celebrations to run smoothly.
Wuthering Waves to Add New Free Character Soon
If confirmed, Xiangli Yao will be another on the list of Wuthering Waves characters given away for free. There are currently seven free characters that Wuthering Waves players can get, the first of which is the protagonist Rover, a 5-star Spectre Resonator. Rover's Havoc variant, who is also a 5-star character, becomes available after completing the Grand Warstorm quest. The other names are four-star characters that Wuthering Waves players unlock as they progress through the game, such as Baizhi, a reward for completing the gacha banner system tutorial.
