Much like all the special/red enemies in Wuthering Waves, the Obelisk Guardian is not one to defeat without a struggle. It specializes in defense and has long-range attacks that can easily knock your characters out. It’s not easy getting close to it and the minute you do, it’s already rearing up for a devastating attack.
The Obelisk Guardian is at Level 85 and can be a little difficult to fight, but just make sure you’re strategic in your moves and can dodge fast enough. Defeating him may award players with not only a trophy but also an Echo, which would be beneficial for any healer characters in Wuthering Waves.

Obelisk Guardian Location In Wuthering Waves
The Obelisk Guardian is located in Desorock Highlands, up high on a cliff in the Camp Overwatch subarea. You’ll need to fast travel to the Resonance Beacon towards the bottom of the mountain and head all the way up.
The Obelisk Guardian will be perched on a rock, patiently waiting near the edge of a cliff.
How To Defeat the Obelisk Guardian In Wuthering Waves
The Obelisk Guardian may be a little difficult to defeat, but not so hard that you need an elaborate strategy to get through the fight. You need to mainly focus on dodging and timing.
Keep Moving and Don’t Stay Still
The Obelisk Guardian has a pretty long reach and if you stay still too often, there is a chance you’ll get hit by its shockwaves. Maintain some distance and keep running around it as you wait for a safe opening to attack.
Notice Its Attack Patterns And Dodge
The Obelisk Guardian has 3 specific attacks that it specializes in and it will continue to repeat them in no specific order.
- The first is when it throws a massive boulder at you. This attack is limited to when you’re at an adequate distance from it. You’ll need to watch out and make sure to dodge it since it packs quite the punch.
- The charge attack occurs when it locks its head in and runs towards you at full speed. This attack will interrupt your characters' movements and deal significant damage, so make sure to dodge it at the correct time.
- When it raises its arms and feet, you can time yourself to parry the oncoming attack and deal some damage. The yellow glowing circles will indicate when to strike and this will help in shaving off some HP.

Be Patient During The Fight
Do not be too hasty in trying to kill the Obelisk Guardian, as this fight purely relies on your patience. If you become impatient, there is a chance the enemy will sneak an attack which could be detrimental to your team. It is also important to make sure you do not stray too close to the edge of the cliff when fighting the Obelisk Guardian. It’s an opportunity to easily get cornered and lose this fight.
Another tidbit you might like to know is that some players have recorded instances where they can push the Obelisk Guardian off the cliff to win the fight. You’ll need to carefully maneuver it towards the edge and then keep on pushing it so that it falls off. Once it does, immediately drop off the edge and glide down with it so that you receive the Echo materials that drop. There is a chance that if you do not fall down with it at the same time, it will respawn atop the cliff again.
Once players have successfully managed to defeat the Obelisk Guardian, they can receive the Trophy: Just A Rock and 10 Astrites to go along with it.
