Ever since Wuthering Waves unveiled new Resonators from version 2.0, fans have been anticipating its official release. The wait is now over, with Kuro Games scheduling the update, following a seven-hour maintenance session. There’s a lot to expect from WuWa 2.0, including the new characters, Echoes, events, and other content showcased in the latest live stream.

When Is Wuthering Waves 2.0 Coming Out?

The Wuthering Waves 2.0 update will be released globally on January 1, 2025 (UTC-5) or January 2, 2025 (UTC+8). The timing will vary depending on where players are located. For instance, servers in America will receive the update at night, whereas the patch will come out in the morning for Asia.

Regardless, Rovers are advised to create a character and unlock the Mails feature before the maintenance to be eligible for compensation. They will be able to claim 300 Astrite and 2 Crystal Solvents in Wuthering Waves.

Wuthering Waves 2.0 Maintenance Start & End Time

Wuthering Waves 2.0 maintenance will commence on January 1, 2024, at 03:00 PM ET (UTC-5). If things go according to plan, the servers should be live, along with the official PlayStation 5 port, on the same day at 10:00 PM ET (UTC-5). The developers will roll out the preload feature on December 31, 2024, letting players download some of the files ahead of the update. Wuthering Waves has revealed what’s coming in version 2.0, with the highlights being the limited-time banners for Carlotta and Roccia—the new 5-star Resonators.
