What Is Tarnished Undermine Real Used For?

In WoW SoD Tarnished Undermine Reel is a new currency that can be used to acquire new SoD items from a new vendor found in Booty Bay. Their inventory includes a huge variety of useful SoD Phase 4 gear, including rings, weapons, other equipment, as well as a variety of crafting recipes and fun toys, like the Gift of Gob – which turns your friendly target, including Hunter pets, into a Goblin for an hour.

For example, the new Pattern: Leather-Reinforced Runecloth Bag, which has a whopping eighteen slots, is locked behind this new Currency, as well as a host of Alchemy recipes, pre-BiS gear, and other useful items. The method to get Tarnished Undermine Reel in WoW SoD P4 is simple: every boss in max-level appropriate dungeons will drop one piece of this currency once per day, resetting at 9 a.m. Server time. Because of this restriction, you cannot farm the same dungeon over and over again.

Scholomance is a classic dungeon that is now in World of Warcraft's Season of Discovery, thanks to Phase 4.

This system is a little bit like the Wild Offering system from SoD P3, but instead of only being tied to one boss in each instance that you can farm repeatedly, Tarnished Undermine Real drops from every boss in an instance once per day.

The best way to farm Tarnished Undermine Real is to do a world tour of the five major dungeons available at max level. These include the second half of Blackrock Depths, Lower Blackrock Spire, Upper Blackrock Spire, Stratholme, and Scholomance. To get into Upper Blackrock Spire, you must either find a UBRS-attuned player or earn attunement within Lower Blackrock Spire yourself.

The Tarnished Undermine Real vendor is located in Booty Bay, and being in a neutral city means his wares can be accessed by both Horde and Alliance players. Look for Pix Nizzix in the northeastern area of the lower platforms, who should be standing next to the Auctioneer just outside the shiphouse where you can buy a Parrot pet.

From the ship to Ratchet, just continue forward and turn left to find this Goblin standing on top of a crate. If you're having trouble finding the Tarnished Undermine Real vendor location, head to the lower planks of Booty Bay and look around for a goblin tucked into a corner, likely surrounded by a few dozen players.

All Tarnished Undermine Real Rewards

WoW SoD Phase 4 Tarnished Undermine Real Vendor Rewards Tier 0 Dungeon Set

Dungeon Tier 0 Sets

All Tier 0 dungeon sets in WoW SoD drop from the same Dungeons as in vanilla WoW, but with this new currency (and after a post-launch fix), you can also buy pieces to your T0 dungeon set. The costs follow the same formula for every set.

  • Your Tier 0 Head, Chest, and Legs pieces will cost 50x Tarnished Undermine Real each
  • Your Tier 0 Belt, Boots, Gloves, and Shoulder pieces will cost 25x Tarnished Undermine real each
  • Your Tier 0 Bracers piece will cost 15x Tarnished Undermine Real each

Try to target dungeons that drop the Head, Chest, and Legs pieces for your Tier 0 SoD Dungeon set first. While farming these dungeons, you will get Tarnished Undermine Reel to spend on other pieces, and if you can secure these high-cost ones, you'll have to run significantly fewer dungeons to get your full set.

If you are having a hard time securing the Bracers, Belt, Boots, Gloves, or Shoulder from dungeons, their significantly reduced costs make it possible to get at least one piece each day if you hit every dungeon with Tarnished Undermine Reals.
