Each new phase for World of Warcraft Classic: Season of Discovery brings new Runes for every class, including a variety of new Warrior Runes for SoD Phase 4. In addition to new P4 Warrior Runes for the Cloak slot, there are a variety of Warrior Ring Runes to choose from which grant a variety of skill bonuses, intended to level the playing field at max level.

Though there are lots of new Warrior Runes that complement those introduced in Phase 1 and Phase 2, and in Phase 3, some of these older Runes may have been removed and replaced, or changed entirely. This guide details what the new Warrior Cloak Runes and Warrior Ring Runes do in SoD P4, and explains what (if any) Runes were removed and replaced with new options.

Updated July 16, 2024 by Erik Petrovich: There are three new SoD P4 Warrior Cloak Runes, and several new Phase 4 Warrior Ring Runes, that players can collect in the latest phase for Season of Discovery. After a particularly productive weekend after the release of SoD Phase 4, Warrior Runes locations have all been discovered. This guide has been updated to include detailed instructions to find all new Warrior Runes Phase 4 introduced, including specific coordinates to help you hone in on the exact location of every new Warrior Rune SoD P4 players can get.

All New P4 Warrior Cloak Runes

Fresh Meat

  • Fresh Meat Effects

    • Hitting a target with Bloodthirst for the first time has a 100% chance to cause you to become Enraged for 12 seconds
      • While Enraged, deal 10% extra Physical damage

    • After the first time you damage a target with Bloodthirst and trigger this effect, the chance to generate Enraged drops to 10%

How To Get Fresh Meat Rune: The SoD Fresh Meat Rune location is in the Burning Steppes. Head to the Blackrock Stronghold and defeat any five enemies without stopping. This should give you the Rhythm of War buff. Then, head to the southwest to find an altar behind a fort. Perform the "/salute" emote while standing in front of this Altar, then defeat the Revered Champion enemy that spawns to get the Rune of the First Warrior.

Shockwave

  • Shockwave Effects

    • Sends a wave of force in a cone in front of the caster, stunning enemies hit for 4 seconds and causing Physical damage

How To Get Shockwave Rune: The SoD Shockwave Rune location is in Tanaris. Look for the Half-Buried Mech on the eastern coast of Tanaris to start the quest chain. You will be directed to Spike Lakeman, someone who is swimming nearby, and swim to the island that he is pointed towards. Speak with Sebastian Jurgens to get the next part of the quest, which directs you to Winterspring.

Go to Everlook and talk to Numi, then grab the next quest and head to the Burning Steppes. Look for a Red Bag at a campsite to the east of Blackrock Mountain in the north of the zone. This bag gives you the next quest "Poacher's Den", which directs you to defeat nearby Blackrock Bootlegger and Sulfuron Smuggler enemies. You will get two Engineering parts, then return back to Everlook and speak with Nami once again.

Finally, head back to the island where you found Sebastian Jurgens, and complete his dialogue to be teleported to one of two starting zones. Here, you will have to defeat a Harvest Golem elite enemy, which will require a group to defeat. Once killed, look for the boss' arm on the ground and loot it to get the Rune of Premonition and Combat Foresight.

Sudden Death

  • Sudden Death Effects

    • All melee strikes have a 10% chance to grant the Sudden Death effect
      • While active, Sudden death lets you use Execute once, no matter what the target's HP total is

    • When Sudden Death enables this effect, you gain 10 Rage after using Execute

How To Get Sudden Death Rune: The SoD Sudden Death Rune location is in Silithus. You will need to find another Wandering Swordsman elite enemy, that as its namesake suggests, wanders the zone in a huge number of spawn locations. When you find him, get the quest "Infinite Midnight" then defeat the Titanic Watcher enemy that you are teleported practically right in front of. You must complete this mini-scenario on "Medium" or "Hard" difficulty, which can be selected before being teleported to the Titanic Watcher.

New Warrior Ring Runes In P4

WoW SoD Phase 4 All New Warrior Runes Season of Discovery P4 Ring Rune Slot

All Warrior Ring Runes follow the same unlock method – find specific books somewhere in the world, and you will unlock Ring Runes that boost your Weapon Skill for particular class weapons. At Max Level, against elite higher-than-60 mobs, having a +5 to your Weapon Skill makes it significantly less likely that you will miss attacks.

These new Runes give every class the ability to boost two of their Weapon Skills, Spell Specializations, or Defense Skills by a small, but not insignificant, amount. When it comes to new Warrior Ring Runes, WoW SoD players have eight choices.
