Each new phase for World of Warcraft Classic: Season of Discovery brings new Runes for every class, including a variety of new Druid Runes for SoD Phase 4. In addition to new P4 Druid Runes for the Cloak slot, there are a variety of Druid Ring Runes to choose from which grant a variety of skill bonuses, intended to level the playing field at max level.

Though there are lots of new Druid Runes that complement those introduced in Phase 1 and Phase 2, and in Phase 3, some of these older Runes may have been removed and replaced, or changed entirely. This guide details what the new Druid Cloak Runes and Druid Ring Runes do in SoD P4, and explains what (if any) Runes were removed and replaced with new options.

Updated July 16, 2024 by Erik Petrovich: There are three new SoD P4 Druid Cloak Runes, and several new Phase 4 Druid Ring Runes, that players can collect in the latest phase for Season of Discovery. After a particularly productive weekend after the release of SoD Phase 4, Druid Runes locations have all been discovered. This guide has been updated to include detailed instructions to find all new Druid Runes Phase 4 introduced, including specific coordinates to help you hone in on the exact location of every new Druid Rune SoD P4 players can get.

Improved Swipe

  • Improved Swipe Effects

    • While in Cat Form, your Swipe ability becomes Swipe (Cat)
    • While in Bear Form, your Swipe ability hits up to seven additional enemies
      • Swipe (Cat) deals 250% Weapon Damage and generates 1 Combo Point on the target

How To Get Improved Swipe Rune: The SoD Improved Swipe Rune location is in Un'Goro Crater. Kill the Raptor enemies on the east side of the zone, where the lower-level Raptors can be found, to get the Idol of the Huntress. Equip this, Shapeshift into Cat Form, and kill five enemies after putting them to sleep with your Hibernate ability.

Tree of Life

  • Tree of Life Effects

    • Shapeshift into the Tree of Life. While in this form;
      • Healing received increased by 10% for all party members within 45 yds
      • Healing from Wild Growth increased by 60%
      • Heal-over-time spell cost reduced by 20%
      • Spirit increased by 25%
      • Armor increased by 200%

    • You cannot cast offensive spells while shapeshifted as the Tree of Life.

How To Get Tree of Life Rune: The SoD Tree of Life Rune location is in Felwood. Go to the north of the zone and look for a Vengeful Wisp on the path northwest of Irontree Woods. Let it follow you further northwest to Jadefire Run. Defeat 10 Satyrs to get the Shimmering Light buff, then talk to the Wisp that should still be following you. Interact with the Gift of the Wisp to get the Rune of the World Tree.

    • Summon a flurry of stars over 10 seconds, striking all targets within 30 yds of the caster
      • Deals large Arcane Damage to the main target and a small amount of Arcane damage to enemies within 5 yds of the target

    • Benefits from and triggers most talents and effects that trigger or benefit from Moonfire.

How To Get Starfall Rune: The SoD Starfall Rune location is in Winterspring. Go to the Hidden Grove to the north of Everlook, through a hidden path surrounded by various Owlbeasts, the same you need to kill to become attuned to Demon Fall Canyon. Look for the elite mob Arcterris and defeat it to gain this Rune.

New Druid Ring Runes In P4

WoW SoD Phase 4 All New Druid Runes Season of Discovery P4 Ring Rune Slot

All Druid Ring Runes follow the same unlock method – find specific books somewhere in the world, and you will unlock Ring Runes that boost your Skill for particular class weapons and spell specializations. At Max Level, against elite higher-than-60 mobs, having a +5 to your weapon or spell skills makes it significantly less likely that you will miss attacks and casts.

These new Runes give every class the ability to boost two of their Weapon Skills, Spell Specializations, or Defense Skills by a small, but not insignificant, amount. When it comes to new Druid Ring Runes, WoW SoD players have eight choices. As with other Druid Runes listed above, these Druid Ring Runes will be updated to include specific location details as we discover them.

Rune of Arcane Specialization

How To Get Nature Specialization Rune: To find the Nature Specialization Rune location, go to Felwood to Felpaw Village and look for this SoD Ring Rune in the cave that connects to Winterspring. This SoD Ring Rune book is located around the coordinates (62.5, 7.5).

The Red Book should be inside a side room near the Meeting Stone. This SoD Ring Rune book is located around the coordinates (29.5, 38).

How To Get Feral Combat Specialization Rune: To find the Feral Combat Specialization Rune location, go to the extreme north of Winterspring to a cove even further north of Frostsaber Rock (on the world map, it's about an inch above the "O" in "Frostsaber"). This SoD Ring Rune book is located around the coordinates (49, 8).
