Warriors are the most gear-dependent class in WoW Classic, and nothing about that has changed for WoW SoD. In fact, despite all the numerous changes to classes across the board, Warriors still reign supreme – but even with a great build and flawless gameplay, players who don't stay on top of getting the best Warrior gear WoW SoD has will fall behind.
WoW SoD: All Phase 1 & 2 Warrior Runes
In WoW Classic, Warriors scale better than any other class, and in the Season of Discovery, they're getting a lot of new toys to play with.
Thanks to the strength of professions and the usefulness of PvP gear in SoD, Warriors can source a lot of their gear through Blacksmithing and Honor. But, the rest of it will have to come from farming mobs and bosses. This guide goes into the details on the pre-BiS and BiS equipment loadout for Warriors in WoW SoD, including the source for each item.
Best Warrior DPS Gear (Phase One)
Pre-BIS For Warrior DPS
These pre-BIS items are the best Warrior DPS gear that that players can get without going into BFD or completing other endgame content. In Phase One the Blackfathom Deeps raid serves as the primary place where PvE players spend their time at endgame – but before setting foot in there the first time, you need to have some half-decent gear to avoid getting stomped.
These items can be found in dungeons that are available to level 25 players, can be made through various Professions (particularly Blacksmithing), are dropped by strong mobs in max level zones (like the Wetlands), or are given as rewards for completing Quests or reaching specific reputation ranks with the Warsong and Waylaid Supply factions.
If you don't feel like farming an item that drops in the open world yourself, most can be bought (for a significant amount of Gold) from the Auction House.

WoW SoD: All Phase 1 & 2 Paladin Runes
Paladins might become the most popular class in the Season of Discovery thanks to a multitude of useful Tank, Healing, and DPS runes alike.
BIS For Warrior DPS
While the previous table lists the best equipment Warriors should equip to be ready for endgame activities in WoW SoD, the following table lists the best gear Warriors can possibly get. Some of these items can only be found in Blackfathom Deeps, some in dungeons that are much more difficult than pre-25 dungeons (like Razorfen Kraul), and others are tied to the Warsong reputations and Honor ranks.
The best Warrior DPS build in WoW SoD Phase 1 is a blend of Arms and Fury, with the vast majority of points put into Arms – in fact, players just need to put one point into the Fury tree, for an extra 1% chance to Crit through the Cruelty talent. Assign this point, then move over to the Arms tree to assign points in Improved Rend, Improved Heroic Strike, Improved Charge, Improved Overpower, and Deep Wounds. Put two points into Tactical Mastery, too.
If you want to commit fully to Arms, there's not much difference between having Cruelty and three points in Tactical Mastery instead.
The best Runes to pair with this BIS Warlock DPS gear are Raging Blow on the Chest, Quick Strike on your Gloves, and Consumed by Rage on your Legs.
