WoW SoD: All Phase 3 Hunter Runes

The launch of Phase 3 for World of Warcraft Classic: Season of Discovery introduced a new level cap of 50, a variety of new world events like Incursions, and revamped content like the Sunken Temple 20-man Raid. As is standard for every Phase launch, every class has a set of new Runes to Discover – including a variety of new Phase 3 Hunter Runes SoD players can find.

In SoD Phase 3 Hunters have access to six new Runes which can be equipped on the Bracer/Wrist and Head gear. This guide covers all of the new Hunter Runes SoD P3 introduces, including details on each Rune's effects and how to acquire them. Be sure to check our companion pieces for information on Hunter Runes in Phases One and Two, as these are not included below.

Updated April 11, 2024 by Erik Petrovich: lNow that players have had time to delve into SoD Phase 3, and hunt down all six new Hunter Runes, every Hunter Rune in SoD P3 has finally been Discovered. To get all Phase 3 Hunter Runes, SoD players will have to travel to many different locations and complete a variety of tasks, but two P3 Rune quests are shared amongst all classes. By acquiring Wild Offerings through a new SoD P3 questline, and by raising your Reputation with the Emerald Wardens to Friendly, all classes can buy one new SoD P3 Rune – Hunters included – for two per class. This guide has been updated to describe how to get all Hunter Runes SoD Phase 3 has for players to equip in their Head and Bracer slots – just remember to open the Discovery box and read the specific details of each new Hunter Rune location hidden below each entry.

Catlike Reflexes Rune

Catlike Reflexes Effect
- Hunter's chance to dodge increased by 20%, and their pet's chance to dodge increased by 9%
- Kill Command and Flanking Strike cooldowns reduced by 50%

How To Get Catlike Reflexes Rune: Get some Soft Banana Bread or Tel'abim Banana, then go to Feralas. Head to the Yeti cave in the southwest of the zone and look for a baby monkey named Groddoc Infant. Give it the Banana item you brought with you, then bring it outside the cave to the Groddoc Matriarch within 10 minutes.

Lock and Load Effect
- When one of your Traps is triggered, your next ranged Shot spell has no mana cost and no cooldown
  - Window lasts for 20 seconds after a Trap is triggered

How To Get Lock and Load Rune: This Rune is awarded as part of the phase 3 quest "The Wild Gods." This quest rewards a Rune for every Class in WoW SoD – for more information on how to finish this lengthy questline, read our guide that explains how to complete "The Wild Gods".

Rapid Killing Rune

Rapid Killing Effect
- Rapid Fire cooldown reduced by 2 minutes
- Next Shot spell after killing an honorable/experience target deals 20% extra damage
  - Window lasts for 20 seconds after killing XP/honorable target

How To Get Rapid Killing Rune: To the west of the Alliance FP at Thorium Point players will find a cave. Go to the end of the cave to find a Weathered Etching. Interact with it to pick up a quest, then head to the Blasted lands. To the west of Stonard look for an NPC named Bloodmage Lynnore. Collect five Infernal Chain Link items from Shadowsworn enemies in the far east and west of the zone and bring them back to her. The final quest requires a Fel Lifeblood from a Level 50 Corehound called Calefactus the Unleashed. Use the Lasso that Lynnore gives you to weak Calefactus, and kill it to get the Rune of the Ravenous and the Infernal Lasso.

Focus Fire Rune

Focus Fire Effect
- Consume all Frenzy stacks from your pet to increase Ranged Attack Speed and restore Focus
  - 3% Ranged Attack Speed per stack, 4 Focus restored per stack
- Lasts 20 seconds

How To Get Focus Fire Rune: Go to the Searing Gorge to The Cauldron, in the central-eastern pits of the zone. Walk across a long branch that overhangs the cavern below to reach the Stormcrow Nest. Interact with an egg and kill an Enraged Stormcrow enemy that spawns to get the Rune of Focused Fire.

Raptor Fury Rune

Raptor Fury Effect
- Raptor Strike increases Raptor Strike and Mongoose Bite by 15%, stacking up to 5 times
  - Lasts 15 seconds
- Effect can't be extended with multiple applications

How To Get Raptor Fury Rune: Kill a Level 43 Elite named Zopilote found that's south of Zul'Farrak and southeast of Gadgetzan, just north of the Abyssal Lands text on the world map.

T.N.T. Effect
- Explosive Shot and Trap damage increased by 10%

How To Get T.N.T. Rune: Unlocked after reaching Friendly with the Emerald Wardens faction. Increase your reputation with this faction by completing quests in Nightmare Incursions, a new Phase 3 PvE event that takes place in Duskwood, Ashenvale, Feralas, and the Hinterlands. Once you reach Friendly, go to an Emerald Wardens Quartermaster to purchase the Rune of Detonation for 1g44s.
