For a little while World of Warcraft players could earn a mount called the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur that infamously came with an Auction House vendor. Though this mount can't be obtained normally in-game, except for at the Black Market Auction House, players who want a mobile Auction House are in luck – the Brutosaur is back, but it costs a pretty penny to get.
How To Get Eternal Tier 2 Sets In WoW's 20th Anniversary Event
There are 13 WoW Tier 2 sets to get during the WoW 20th Anniversary Celebration, including four brand-new sets.
The Gilded Brutosaur is essentially the Caravan Brutosaur mount from Battle for Azeroth given a new set of paint, themed after the long history of WoW. But you can't get this new mount via normal, in-game methods. You must either purchase it outright from the Blizzard Shop with either WoW Token balance or real money.
WoW Gilded Brutosaur Mount Vendors & Info
This revamped version of the infamous auction house mount has Gems that stud its gilded armor that represent each of the game's expansions from the last twenty years. The WoW Gilded Brutosaur mount is not in such high demand because of this neat attention to detail, though – it's because the Gilded Brutosaur grants immediate access to the Auction House and a mailbox whenever you mount it.
When summoned, this Ground-only mount towers above other players and houses two interactable vendors attached to either side of its gargantuan, golden body. The Auction House works exactly like it does at the real Auction House, and mails your purchased goods to you immediately – and there's a Mail vendor on the Brutosaur to pick these goods up instantly.
In combination with other service mounts in WoW, the Gilded Brutosaur rounds out a huge number of vendors that you can summon on the fly without ever having to go to a capital city. But the price for this incredible convenience is incredibly steep.
How To Get The Gilded Brutosaur Mount
The Trader's Gilded Brutosaur new WoW mount is exclusive to the Battle.net shop, and can only be purchased with either real money or Blizzard Account balance. The cost of the Trader's Gilded Brutosaur mount is $90, making it far and away the most expensive WoW mount ever added to the Blizzard store.
World of Warcraft: Complete Hallow's End Guide
Hallow's End is the Halloween event in World of Warcraft, and here is what you can expect from this spooky event.
The WoW Token, an item that is worth either $20 in Battle.net funds or a fluctuating amount of Gold in-game, can be used to reduce or eliminate the WoW Gilded Brutosaur price – if you have enough Gold to purchase the five necessary to meet the $90 price of the Gilded Brutosaur.
To buy a WoW Token in-game, head to the Auction House (or borrow the Auction vendor from a nearby Gilded Brutosaur owner) and click the "WoW Token" tab on the left. This will show the current price of a WoW Token in Gold.
The current WoW Token value fluctuates over time, especially when highly sought-after items such as the Gilded Brutosaur mount are added to the in-game shop. On average, the WoW Token price is anywhere from 200,000 Gold to 400,000 Gold.
At the time of publication, just days after the WoW Gilded Brutosaur was added, the price shot up from 200,000 Gold to around 300,000 gold apiece, so be patient and pay attention to the market to save yourself some Gold.
You must acquire five WoW Tokens to purchase the Gilded Brutosaur without spending any real money. You should be left with a remaining $10 in your Battle.net balance, which can saved up for a discount on future expansions, put toward WoW game time, or used for other store-exclusive WoW mounts that come out in the future.
