Summary
- Taivan the bakar mount in WoW: Dragonflight is unlocked via new meta achievement in Patch 10.2.6.
- Unlocking Taivan requires completing multiple achievements in Dragonflight story, totaling 130 individual achievements.
- Progress towards Taivan and other achievements in WoW is account-wide and not time-locked, offering various rewards.
World of Warcraft is finally adding Taivan, the loveable bakar, as a mount players can earn, but getting him requires fans to do virtually everything in Dragonflight. This highly-requested mount is unlocked via a new meta achievement coming to World of Warcraft in Patch 10.2.6.
Players who went through the Dragonflight story will remember Taivan, the loveable hound-like bakar from the Ohn’ahran Plains. Their characters get the chance to ride the good boy during several quests in the Ohn’ahran Plains during WoW: Dragonflight, but despite this, fans were disappointed to find there was previously no way to unlock the bakar as a mount in the game.
In Patch 10.2.6, players can finally add Taivan to their mount collections – but not before earning almost every achievement from Dragonflight. According to Wowhead, the new content update introduces A World Awoken, a new meta achievement that rewards Taivan to those who complete it. However, earning the accolade requires fans to earn 14 other achievements, most of which require multiple achievements of their own to unlock. All together, players will need to earn 130 individual achievements in order to complete A World Awoken and unlock Taivan.
How to Get Taivan Mount in WoW: Dragonflight
- Defeat all bosses in all three Dragonflight raids on any difficulty.
- Clear every Dragonflight dungeon on Mythic difficulty.
- Complete all main and side quests in all seven Dragonflight zones.
- Finish the Blue Dragon, Rebel Dragonkin, Tyr’s Guard, Old Hatreds, Innovation, and Whelp Daycare stories.
- Max out reputation with Soridormi, Sabellian, Wrathion, the Artisan's Consortium, the Cobalt Assembly, the Winterpelt, and all six Renown factions.
- Earn the meta achievements associated with every faction, zone, and world activity in Dragonflight.
- Explore every zone, finish every Dragonriding race, and collect every Dragonriding Glyph in Dragonflight.
Though earning this achievement is a Herculean task, it and some of the achievements within are account wide, meaning fans can earn progress across many characters. It is also not time locked, so World of Warcraft players can take years to unlock the achievement. Additionally, many of the required achievements include rewards of their own, so players will unlock several mounts, Dragonriding mount customizations, and other cosmetics and titles on their long journey to get Taivan.
Taivan isn’t the only surprise coming for players in Patch 10.2.6. World of Warcraft is adding Plunderstorm, a new pirate-themed battle royale game mode where fans can loot power-ups and treasure and earn special cosmetic rewards. Progression of this new game mode is completely separate from the main game, so players can earn these rewards at the same pace, regardless of how far they are in World of Warcraft itself.
