In phase 3 of Season of Discovery in World of Warcraft Classic, players with the Alchemy profession can finally reach the max skill cap of 300. Along with this release, new Bind on Pickup flask recipes are available for alchemists for use in Nightmare Encursions. Alchemists will also be able to make any of the historical recipes that exist in the vanilla version of WoW.

Note: You will need to reach level 50 before being able to hit level 300 in alchemy! So be sure to level up your character before fully preparing for your alchemy journey.

These new Alchemy Recipes in Season of Discovery Phase 3 are related to the nightmare encursions - a PvE event created for phase 3 of SOD.

Leveling Alchemy in WoW's Season of Discovery

To start with Alchemy, you can begin with any of the following trainers:

Horde Alchemy Trainers

  • Bena Winterhoof in Thunder Bluff (/way 46.8, 33.6)
  • Doctor Herbert Halsey in the Apothecarium in Undercity (/way 47.6, 73.0)
  • Yelmak in the Drag in Orgrimmar (/way 56.6, 33.2)

Alliance Alchemy Trainers

  • Ainethil at Craftsmen’s Terrace in Darnassus (/way 55.0, 23.8)
  • Lilyssia Nightbreeze in the Mage Quarter in Stormwind (/way 46.4, 79.6)
  • Tally Berryfizz in Tinker Town in Ironforge (/way 66.6, 55.2)

Alchemy Guide 225-300 in WoW SOD (Phase 3)

If you are starting fresh, continue past this section to see older phases of leveling guides. For now, we focus on what's new with phase 3, and therefore we explore the 225-300 skill bracket. You can learn Artisan Alchemy from only 1 NPC per faction. They are:

  • Kylanna Windwhisper in Feralas (/way 32.6, 43.8).
  • Rogvar in Swamp of Sorrows (/way 48.4, 55.6).

225-300 Item Requirements

You will need the following items to go from 225 to 300 in Alchemy. Note that if some skill ups fail, you may need slightly more than these. We recommend if you have the extra gold, to grab an extra stack of each just in case.

Level from 225-300 in Phase 3 SOD By Crafting These:

  • 225-230: Superior Healing Potion
  • 230-250: Elixir of Detect Undead
  • 250-265: Elixir of Greater Agility
  • 265-285: Superior Mana Potion
  • 285-300: Major Healing Potion

Here are the Apprentice, Journeyman, and Expert leveling brackets for Alchemy.

Craft These Items To Level Alchemy from 1-225

With all of the ingredients in the above section, you will be able to craft the following items, in this order. Be sure to pick up Journeyman at skill level 75 and Expert at skill level 150 so you do not wait any crafts when you are maxed out on your skill cap.

  • 1-60: Minor Healing Potion
  • 60-75: Lesser Healing Potion
  • 75-110: Lesser Healing Potion
  • 110-140: Healing Potion
  • 140-150: Lesser Mana Potion
  • 150-155: Lesser Mana Potion
  • 155-185: Greater Healing Potion
  • 185-210: Elixir of Agility
  • 210-215: Elixir of Greater Defense
