The Horrific Vision of Orgrimmar and Storwmind were first added to World of Warcraft during the last major patch of Battle For Azeroth. Since the future of The War Within and the upcoming expansion, Midnight, appear to be very void-themed, Blizzard has released a revamped version of the Horrific Visions. While there have been few to no changes to this activity, there are plenty of rewards for players to obtain. This also includes some new mounts, like the purple version of the Hateforged Blazecycle. This new mount, the Voidfire Deathcycle, is not a random drop but is a secret that you can uncover.
World of Warcraft’s Most Frustrating Secrets Explained
Riddles and clues abound in World of Warcraft, and special prizes await at the end of these elusive puzzles, frustrating as they may be.
How to Get the Voidfire Deathcycle in World of Warcraft
Before you can even obtain the Voidfire Deathcycle, you must first complete all objectives and then kill the boss in either Horrific Vision of Stormwind or Orgrimmar. Doing so will unlock one of the masks, which allows you to make the activity even more difficult. Once you have at least one mask unlocked, you will want to make sure you are wearing it before the start of Horrific Vision of Stormwind.
Both Stormwind and Orgrimmar are on a weekly rotation. So if Horrific Vision of Orgrimmar is active, you will have to wait till the next weekly reset.
Aside from making Horrific Visions more difficult and rewarding more Displaced Corrupted Mementos, there are certain things you can only see when you have one or more masks activated.
One example of this is the Voidfire Deathcycle, which shows up in the Dwarven District of Horrific Vision of Strowmind. You will find it near the auction house. Attack it until Haymar the Devout spawns. Kill him and then interact with the Voidfire Deathcycle. You will see a dialogue option that you can select. This will cause a ghostly version of the Voidfire Deathcycle to appear outside the entrance to Horrific Visions in Dornogal.
You will be able to interact with the bike and see some dialogue options about parts. In order to obtain the Voidfire Deathcycle mount, you must find all the parts within the Horrific Visions of Stormwind and Orgrimmar and also acquire some crafting materials.
Any progress you make toward building the Voidfire Deathcycle is warbound. So if you complete one part and insert it on one character, that progress you've made will apply to your entire account and you won't have to get that part again on a separate character. So, if you happen to have an Engineer alt, this will make your life much easier.
How to Get the Parts for the Voidfire Deathcycle
One of the first things you will want to do is craft or purchase the following materials. All materials need to be Rank Three quality:
- 12 Entropy Enhancer
- Five Weavercloth Spellthread
- Three Whimisical Wiring
- Refulgent Crystal
- Storm-Touched Weapon Wrap
- Convincingly Realistic Jumper Cables
- Recalibrated Safety Switch
- Irresistible Red Button
The trickiest of these materials is the Irresistible Red Button which is a bind-on-pickup item crafted by Engineers. If you are an Engineer, then you can just craft one provided your Khaz Algar Engineering is high enough and you have the parts. If you aren't an Engineer, it is a little more complicated.
If you don't want to spend the time leveling Engineering, learn Engineering on an alt but don't level it. Next to the portal to Azj-Kahet in Dornogal is a building with the Black Market Auction House. In this building, there will be an item you can loot if you are an Engineer that will give you all the Piles of Rusted Scrap that you need. This material is also bind-on-pickup, which is why you need Engineering for the next step.
Gather the other materials needed for the Irresistible Red Button (12 Handfuls of Bismuth Bolts, three Whimsical Wiring, four Gyrating Gears, and an Etropy Enhancer) and create a public Craft Order. Make sure to leave a good tip, as this will make it far more likely that another player will pick up your order and make it for you.
Vendors around Khaz Algar, like Apothecary Rz in City of Threads, will occasionally sell limited quantities of Piles of Rusted Scrap. It may take a few days to get all the materials needed, but this is another method for acquiring the Piles of Rusted Scrap needed to make the Irresistible Red Button.
In addition to the items above, you must also obtain some old materials from Wrath of the Lich King, which are sold by Roxi Ramrocket in K3, Storm Peaks. Purchase the following from her:
- Elementium-Plated Exhaust Pipe
- Four Goblin-Machined Pistons
These materials can only be purchased, and will set you back 5,500 gold. Fortunately, it is easier to get gold now than it was in Wrath of the Lich King or earlier, so you should have no trouble getting the amount of gold needed if you don't already have it.
Materials From Horrific Visions of Stormwind and Orgrimmar
In addition to the extensive shopping list above, you will need to gather some items from within both the Horrific Visions of Orgrimmar and Stormwind. Some can be found within the activity itself, while others only drop from chests at the end. Regardless, you will need to have at least one mask equipped to even obtain them.
