Hunters in World of Warcraft have perpetually been outspoken about their desire for quivers, and Patch 10.1 of Dragonflight may finally have the answer from Blizzard they've been hoping for. Much like visible librams for Paladins in World of Warcraft, quivers have been a passionate topic for the Hunter community that Blizzard sought to answer with the introduction of Artifact Weapons in Legion. Unfortunately, as Artifact Weapons were designed to be borrowed power, the quivers that came with the Marksmanship artifact ended up becoming little more than a temporary solution.
Though they could still use the artifact appearances unlocked through Legion's content, World of Warcraft players sought more freedom and more variety for their quivers than being tied to Thas'dorah (and its different skins). The return of talent trees to World of Warcraft in Dragonflight brought back a strong sense of class identity to the game, but the requests for quivers never ceased, prompting Blizzard to come up with a solution that would please the Hunters of Azeroth.
Embers of Neltharion is Dragonflight's first major update, featuring a new zone, a new raid, and several quality-of-life features such as cross-faction guilds, a new gearing system inspired by Timeless Isle, and the inclusion of several quivers for Hunters to wear. The good news was shared by mundtotdnum on the official World of Warcraft subreddit, featuring a few of the new models discovered by Wowhead on the latest PTR client.
In addition to quivers, Blizzard is also working on a plethora of themed cosmetics such as Tauren totems or Paladin librams, with speculation placing them as obtainable items via the Trading Post feature in World of Warcraft. The developers are keen to build up a wide selection of cosmetics for players to choose from, as exclusive mounts and weapons are offered for Trader's Tender obtained through completing monthly challenges in World of Warcraft (in addition for staying subscribed to the game). The new quivers, librams, and totems would effortlessly fit into the trading post's growing catalog when Embers of Neltharion hits the live servers.
Though Blizzard has yet to reveal an official release date for Embers of Neltharion, the 10.1 update for World of Warcraft is rumored to launch some time in late May, based on the official Dragonflight roadmap for 2023. Given that Public Test Realms are open to all World of Warcraft players, fans will likely have a chance to test out the cosmetics before the patch launches.
