The Radiant Echoes Pre-Patch event for World of Warcraft: The War Within will now have faster respawn times, increased currency drops, and account-bound daily quests instead of weeklies. These significant improvements will make the Radiant Echoes event much more enjoyable, and help World of Warcraft players more easily collect all the rewards from it.

On July 30, the Radiant Echoes Pre-Patch event for World of Warcraft: The War Within began. The world activity sees players travel to the Searing Gorge, Dustwallow Marsh, and the Dragonblight to battle memories of iconic enemies from WoW history and obtain Residual Memories, a currency used to buy exclusive cosmetics. However, the event’s launch was far from perfect, with long respawn wait times, low currency acquisition rates, and several bugs.

To alleviate concerns about Radiant Echoes, World of Warcraft is making some huge improvements to the event. Rather than spawning once every 90 minutes, the Radiant Echoes will cycle between the three zones every hour. During this time, the event will repeat its active phases, moving between the Congealed Memories, mini-event scenarios, and Remembered boss continuously, with the Lingering Memories stage now only found in inactive zones. What’s more, the three weekly quests are now account-bound daily quests, providing an easy avenue to earn tons of Residual Memories to buy all the items from the World of Warcraft: The War Within Radiant Echoes event.

WoW: The War Within Radiant Echoes Improvements

  • The Radiant Echoes event now respawns repeatedly while active in an area, ensuring no one misses out on the boss.
  • The event now cycles between zones every hour.
  • The three quests in the Searing Gorge, Dustwallow Marsh, and Dragonblight are now account-bound daily quests, rather than weekly ones.
  • Scenarios and bosses drop more Residual Memories, as well as Flightstones and Crests to upgrade gear.

Were that not enough, the amount of Residual Memories acquired from completing scenarios and defeating bosses is being increased. They also now reward Flightstones and Crests, which players can use to upgrade gear to prepare for WoW: The War Within. These changes are expected to go live as soon as the kinks on the PTR are worked out, so fans should be able to enjoy these improvements throughout the vast majority of the event.

Needless to say, fans are overjoyed to see World of Warcraft once again listen to their concerns and improve a flawed event. They were not happy with the Radiant Echoes event as it stood, as earning all the rewards seemed impossible without a lot of grinding. Now, players should be able to participate in the event casually and still get everything they want, which is a big win for everyone.
