Following the release of World of Warcraft: The War Within, Blizzard has shared more details about the September 2024 rewards players can earn while completing quests in the new expansion. The upcoming World of Warcraft reward slate will focus on items based on both pirates and the Brewfest holiday, including the Plunderlord's Golden Crocolisk mount that diligent players can snag.
Every month, World of Warcraft's Trading Post rotates the rewards players can purchase with Trader's Tenders, with some common items such as cloaks, hoods, and weapon appearances returning a few times a year. World of Warcraft players earn Trader's Tenders by completing tasks in the Traveler's Log or by purchasing the Heroic or Epic Editions of The War Within. Given that the themes of the Trading Post change each month, the August 2024 Trading Post in World of Warcraft focused on weapon and armor appearances themed on the Alliance and the Horde factions, including the Kor'kron Warsaber and the Sentinel War Wolf mounts.
New World of Warcraft Expansion Has a Puzzle That Looks Straight Out of BioShock
A puzzle that appears in one of the zones in World of Warcraft: The War Within may evoke some nostalgia from players who are familiar with BioShock.
The September rotation will feature two unique themes for players to look forward to. According to Blizzard, World of Warcraft's next Trading Post rotation will focus on pirates and recolored cosmetics based on both the annual Brewfest holiday festivities and the limited-time Plunderstorm game mode that appeared in March and April 2024. The highest-priced items in this rotation include the Plunderlord's Radiant Finery ensemble, the Claudius Hermit Crab pet, and a ground-based mount called Keg Leg's Radiant Crocolisk. Several Plunderlord's Radiant weapon appearances will also be available, which are golden recolors of the weapons that were available during Plunderstorm. A new Trading Post booth is also now open in Dornogal, in addition to the Stormwind and Orgrimmar tents.

World of Warcraft players who earn 1,000 Traveler's Log points in September can claim the Plunderlord's Golden Crocolisk ground mount. Midway through September, the annual Brewfest holiday will return, with a boss named Coren Direbrew being introduced. During this time, the Trading Post will have two items themed around the Oktoberfest-inspired event for players to purchase. The Green Brewfest Bulwark shield and the Homebrewer's Sampling Crest backpiece will cost 300 and 500 Trader's Tenders, respectively. World of Warcraft players looking to complete their holiday ensembles will have those items to add to their shopping lists.
As Blizzard continues to make adjustments to The War Within, players looking to snag unique rewards will have a golden opportunity to do so soon. With Season 1 of The War Within fast approaching on September 10, it remains to be seen what the Trading Post will have in stock for the rest of 2024.
