World of Warcraft is making a few changes to the raid Renown system in Patch 11.1, with the gear redemption tokens and repair stations being removed in favor of new mounts and an earlier raid skip. The finalized version of the Gallagio Loyalty Rewards Club will appear in World of Warcraft when the Liberation of Undermine raid opens on March 4.
Recently, World of Warcraft introduced players to the Gallagio Loyalty Rewards Club, a new Renown track associated with the Liberation of Undermine raid from Patch 11.1. By defeating bosses and certain enemies in the raid, fans can gain reputation towards this time-gated faction each week, earning perks and buffs within the raid, and some rewards for use outside of it.
World of Warcraft Reveals Patch 11.1 and The War Within Season 2 Release Dates
World of Warcraft reveals the release date for Patch 11.1, Undermined, as well as the start of The War Within's second progression season.
However, with just a few weeks until the raid’s release, World of Warcraft has decided to make a few changes to the new Renown system. In a recent post on the Blizzard forum, World of Warcraft developer Scariizard explained that the rewards for a few Renown ranks would be removed, including the Puzzling Cartel Chips from Rank 17 and 19 and the Fixer-Upper Repair Stations from Rank 5. To compensate, the Raid Skip from Rank 8 is now being moved up to Rank 5, and Rank 8 and 17 now reward players with the Thunderdrum Misfire red rocket mount and the Darkfuse Chompactor, a hyena with armor inspired by the Darkfuse Solutions faction in World of Warcraft, respectively.
Changes to the WoW Patch 11.1 Raid Renown System
- Puzzling Cartel Chips removed from rank 17 and 19
- Fixer-Upper Repair Stations removed from Rank 5
- Raid Skip moved from Rank 8 to Rank 5
- Thunderdrum Misfire mount added to Rank 8
- Darkfuse Chompactor mount added to Rank 17
Though the Puzzling Cartel Chips, which operated similarly to the Puzzling Cartel Dinar and Antique Bronze Bullion from past World of Warcraft expansions, have been removed from the Renown track, Blizzard plans to bring them back in some form later on. On the other hand, the Fixer-Upper stations were taken out because mounts, consumables, or even the Incontinental Hotel teleport within the raid provide enough other ways to repair gear that this perk was redundant. The raid skip adjustments were made to make the debut of the Gallagio Loyalty Rewards Club less jarring to veteran raiders, as it now works similarly to systems from previous raids, and the new mounts were added to offset the reward shuffle.
