Guardians of the Dream is the next World of Warcraft patch dropping on November 7. This major content update adds a playable zone within the Emerald Dream, a new raid, and tons of items to collect and activities to complete.
Rare World of Warcraft Mount Is Now Easier to Obtain, But There's A Catch
With the return of the annual Hallow's End holiday, a rare World of Warcraft mount just became easier for players to get if they are lucky.
One such activity is the collection of new Dragonriding Glyphs hidden in the new Emerald Dream zone in World of Warcraft. Once players find them all, they can learn three new Dragonriding traits–Swift Skimming, Wind’s Respite, and Second Wind. Like previous Dragonriding Glyphs and abilities, these new unlocks are shared account-wide, so once players do it once, they can learn these abilities without needing to collect the glyphs again on subsequent characters.
Here are the three new Dragonriding traits players can learn in World of Warcraft Patch 10.2, Guardians of the Dream:
- Swift Skimming: A passive ability that allows Ground Skimming and Thrill of the Skies to activate simultaneously, letting one restore vigor quickly while flying fast and close to the ground.
- Wind’s Respite: A passive that reduces the effects of gravity for four seconds after using Aerial Halt.
- Second Wind: An active ability that automatically generates one Vigor. This trait has a three-minute cooldown, but has three charges.
These new abilities will be invaluable for players in Patch 10.2. According to the World of Warcraft Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope has integrated Dragonriding, so players with mastery over the system will be ready to defeat Fyrakk and his minions in the new raid. Additionally, World of Warcraft has already scheduled Dragonriding race events across several old world continents, so players can look forward to using these new traits as they speed across the retro zones.
Were that not exciting enough, World of Warcraft is adding two new customizable Dragonriding drake mounts in Patch 10.2. The Flourishing Whimsydrake is a new fairy dragon-themed mount players earn shortly after entering the Emerald Dream zone, and the Grotto Netherwing Drake offered via the Trading Post earlier this year is finally getting customizations in the new patch. Players who missed out on this otherworldly dragon mount will have an evergreen opportunity to earn it in Guardians of the Dream by completing the new Dragon Keeping quest line, which features the Netherwing Dragonflight.
World of Warcraft is available now for PC.
