World of Warcraft recently gave players a first look inside the new Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope raid. This instance will open shortly after the launch of World of Warcraft Patch 10.2, Guardians of the Dream, and will coincide with the launch of Dragonflight Season 3.
Guardians of the Dream is the second major content update for Dragonflight, bringing with it a new zone, raid, and slew of activities to experience. Though Patch 10.2 is on the Public Test Realm now, the full patch goes live in World of Warcraft on November 7, with Amirdrassil opening a week later on November 14.
World of Warcraft Reveals New Dragonriding Traits in Patch 10.2
World of Warcraft adds three new Dragonriding traits players can learn in the next Dragonflight content update, Guardians of the Dream.
To prepare players for Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope, World of Warcraft recently gave a glimpse at the bosses and battlefields that await them in the raid. This short clip shared on the game's official Twitter took players through many of the boss areas of the instance, featuring lush green and blue architecture of the Emerald Dream in World of Warcraft contrasted by the vicious, burning fire and lava of Fyrakk and his followers. Both the mechanics and visuals of the new raid look stunning, and are sure to captivate both hardcore and casual players alike.
Here are the bosses seen in the trailer, and who players can expect to face in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight’s Amirdrassil raid:
- Gnarlroot, an ancient who has been corrupted by Fyrakk’s fire.
- Igira the Cruel, a Djaradin elder who lives up to her name, and who has been tormenting players since the events of Dragonflight Patch 10.1.
- Volcoross, a vast lava serpent who seeks to devour the Emerald Dream.
- The Council of Dreams, a dryad, werebear, and faerie dragon who seek to test the strength of would-be protectors of the Dream.
- Larodar, Keeper of the Flame, a Keeper of the Grove twisted by the Druids of the Flame.
- Nymue, Weaver of the Cycle, an ancient being who protects the Emerald Dream on behalf of Eonar and Freya.
- Smolderon, the new Firelord who has joined forces with Fyrakk.
- Tindral Sageswift, Seer of the Flame, the leader of the Druids of the Flame after Fandral Staghelm was slain in Cataclysm.
- Fyrakk the Blazing, the mad Primal Incarnate who wants the power of Amirdrassil.
In addition to tons of powerful gear, World of Warcraft players can collect new Dragonriding mount customizations that transform their Renewed Proto-Drake into the image of Fyrakk, as well as Anu’relos, Flame’s Guidance, a fiery owl mount that can use the dynamic Dragonriding system. Once Patch 10.2 drops, Amirdrassil will become quite the hotspot for players of all kinds.
