World of Warcraft recently showed off just how much content there is in Patch 10.1.7, Fury Incarnate. This update may not be one of Dragonflight’s major ones, but it is still bringing a surprising amount of features to World of Warcraft.
Dragonflight Patch 10.1.7 is right around the corner. This content update is the final one before Dragonflight Season 3 begins in 10.2, and the penultimate patch is currently planned for 2023.
Usually, World of Warcraft’s major seasonal patches and midway updates, like 10.1 and 10.1.5, are its biggest. However, Fury Incarnate looks to be bringing as much content as many of its larger counterparts have, despite being a 1.7 patch. In an official Twitter post, World of Warcraft shared an image laying out what players can look forward to in Fury Incarnate when it comes to Dragonflight on September 5.
Here are the major things players can expect from World of Warcraft: Dragonflight Patch 10.1.7, Fury Incarnate:
- New story questlines, including one with Tyr, another involving the Draenei, and likely a story bridge connecting Patch 10.1.5 to 10.2.
- Dreamsurges, which is a new public event that makes leveling in Dragonflight easier.
- Limited-time Dragonriding races in the Eastern Kingdoms.
- Quality-of-life features like the Ping System and Sell All Junk button.
- Updates to the Brewfest and Hallow’s End holiday events.
- Heritage Armor quests for Night Elves and Forsaken.
- Customization options for Night Elves, Forsaken, and Draenei.
Interestingly enough, Fyrakk is prominently featured on the Fury Incarnate image World of Warcraft shared, yet no content found on Patch 10.1.7 has involved him directly so far. That said, the Druids of the Flame from World of Warcraft: Cataclysm are back, and many suspect they are in league with the Primal Incarnate. Considering the patch’s name and theme, it seems likely that Fyrakk will play a role in Patch 10.1.7’s story.
Recent World of Warcraft cinematics have set the stage for him and his fellow Primal Incarnate Vyranoth to be major players in Dragonflight’ s next major update. Both dragons will probably be antagonists in Patch 10.2, though it remains to be seen if they will appear as bosses in World of Warcraft’s next raid. Luckily, players won’t have to wait long to find out–with only a couple of weeks until the next update, players anticipate an announcement for the final World of Warcraft content update of the year sometime shortly after Fury Incarnate drops, if not in the week before.
World of Warcraft is available now on PC.
