According to some images shared by a fan, World of Warcraft may be running a promotion with Mountain Dew in the near future. While the specifics of this potential World of Warcraft collaboration are currently unknown, it appears as if players may soon be able to earn in-game rewards by buying Mountain Dew.

Long-term fans of World of Warcraft may remember its partnership with Mountain Dew from 2009. The iconic collaboration had various sweepstakes and giveaways, but the most memorable part of the original Choose Your Side World of Warcraft x Mountain Dew promotion was the special bottles and cans, as well as the incredible commercial featuring a terrible CGI Orc and Night Elf fighting in a supermarket.

Now, it seems like World of Warcraft and Mountain Dew might finally be crossing each other's paths once more. Recently, WoW fan Electronic-Garden-16 shared a bunch of images on Reddit of World of Warcraft Mountain Dew Game Fuel, including packaging, production, and even crates featuring thousands of cans. The leak had two flavors of Mountain Dew: Citrus Blackberry, featuring Xal’atath and Alleria, and Citrus Cherry, which had Thrall and the Lich King on it. Electronic-Garden-16 has since deleted their Reddit account, but Wowhead was able to capture and save the leaked images.

Future World of Warcraft x Mountain Dew Promotion?

If this collaboration is real, it will probably work similarly to how other Mountain Dew Gaming Rewards promotions work. Right now, gamers can submit codes found on qualifying products to exchange for points, which are then traded for physical merchandise, gift cards, or even digital rewards for games like Final Fantasy 14. Unfortunately, this website is only available for United States fans, so players elsewhere in the world may not be able to participate.

Though the images appear to be genuine, this rumored collaboration has not been confirmed by Blizzard yet, so players should temper their expectations until that changes. That said, some have already begun to theorize what rewards might be available from this potential promo – and the previously-datamined fel motorcycle mounts are top contenders, as two of them match the color schemes of these leaked Mountain Dew flavors perfectly. If so, they would quickly become some of the best new mounts in World of Warcraft.

In the meantime, World of Warcraf t fans can participate in another promo that is active right now. Until February 28, 2025, World of Warcraft players who buy Trolli gummi worms can get an in-game battle pet – or three different color variants of the Classic Tabard transmog if they shop at Walgreens, Circle K, or Dollar General. This same promotion offers in-game items for Diablo 4, Sea of Thieves, or The Elder Scrolls Online, so fans should be sure to grab a few extra bags if they play more than one of these online games.
