World of Warcraft has revealed more details about how the first month of Mists of Pandaria Classic will go, confirming that the Mogu'shan Vaults raid will arrive at the end of July. Starting July 1, World of Warcraft Classic players will be able to test out the revamped talent system and start playing as the Monk class.

World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Classic will raise the level cap from 85 to 90, and increase the number of available classes to 11 with the arrival of the Monk. As masters of martial arts, the Monk can fulfill the roles of Tank, Healer, or Melee DPS in group content. Although their main armor type is leather, the Monk's transmogrification armor sets draw inspiration from Eastern cultures in the real world. Along with the Monk, World of Warcraft Classic's first neutral race, the Pandaren, will be available for Alliance and Horde players to choose from. Completing the Pandaren starting experience will reward retail WoW players with Shaohao's Sage Serpent mount to use as a Skyriding mount.

However, the launch of World of Warcraft Classic's next expansion will stretch beyond the first few weeks of July. According to Blizzard, the Mists of Pandaria Classic pre-patch will go live on July 1. The pre-patch also includes the pet battle system and the Theramore's Fall scenario. Less than three weeks later, on July 21, players can set sail for the continent of Pandaria and begin their journeys through zones like the Jade Forest and the Valley of the Four Winds. However, WoW players will have just 10 days to reach level 90 before the expansion's first raid, the Mogu'shan Vaults, opens its doors on Thursday, July 31, at 6:00 PM Eastern. A place fraught with secrets from the fallen Mogu Empire, the Mogu'shan Vaults is a six-boss raid that groups of 10 or 25 players can challenge on Normal and Heroic difficulties.

World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Classic Launch Schedule

  • July 1: Pandaren Race, Monk Class, Theramore's Fall Scenario, Pet Battles, Talent System Rework
  • July 21: Pandaria Continent available, New Instances, Level Cap Raised to 90, Challenge Mode Dungeons, Scenarios
  • July 31: Mogu'Shan Vaults Raid Opens at 6:00 PM Eastern (normal and heroic difficulties for groups of 10 or 25 players)
  • Mid-August: Celestial Dungeons (replacement for Raid Finder)

Two weeks after the Mogu'shan Vaults are opened, the Celestial Dungeons feature will arrive in the middle of August. As a substitute for the Raid Finder option that will not be in Mists of Pandaria Classic, Celestial Dungeons will serve as a challenge equal to Mythic+ Dungeons in The War Within. Other raids, such as Heart of Fear and Terrace of Endless Spring, will arrive at later dates.

World of Warcraft players looking to get caught up for Mists of Pandaria Classic have until July 1 to cash in on a 50% boost to experience points. Only time will tell how many WoW players will jump back in for the revisit to Pandaria.
