World of Warcraft has kicked off Love Is in the Air 2026 with a fluttering flourish, featuring the Spring Butterfly mount, Transmog ensemble, and weapon collection as new rewards. During this limited-time event, World of Warcraft players can earn these items by challenging the Crown Chemical Co. Holiday instance or in exchange for event currency.
Love Is in the Air is an in-game event in World of Warcraft that is analogous to Valentine’s Day. The holiday received a significant facelift in 2024, featuring a brand-new event hub, repeatable quests, and a currency called Love Tokens.

Now, Love Is in the Air is back with a handful of new items for fans to collect. The Spring Butterfly Skyriding mount, Ornaments of the Spring Butterfly ensemble, and a matching Sword, Longbow, Wand, Mace, and Polearm have all been added as part of this holiday. The event is live in World of Warcraft now until February 23, giving players two weeks to earn these festive rewards and more.
The Spring Butterfly mount has a low chance of being found in the first Epic Heart-Shaped Box dropped by Apothecary Hummel in the Crown Chemical Co. World of Warcraft holiday instance each day, once per account. Meanwhile, the Ornaments of the Spring Butterfly ensemble and matching weapons are all purchased from event vendors Kiera Torres or Lythianne Morningspear in exchange for Love Tokens.

Love Tokens drop from most holiday activities, including daily quests, the Crown Chemical Co., and the "I Smell Trouble" questline. Love Tokens are Warbound, so farming them on multiple characters is effective.
These Spring Butterfly cosmetics are recolors of some existing items that fans might already have. The Ruby and Pearlescent Butterfly mounts and their matching Transmog items were a part of World of Warcraft’s Trading Post in March 2025, and a fourth Midnight Butterfly mount has been discovered in the files, but has yet to appear in the game. Given its name, it would not be surprising if it shows up at the Trading Post during the Midnight expansion.
In addition to these new rewards, all previous items have returned this year. This includes the Love Witch’s Broom, the mount from World of Warcr aft’s Love Is in the Air last year, and the elusive X-45 Heartbreaker, one of the rarest mounts in the game. Beyond that, tons of achievements can be earned during the event, many of which require toys or consumables purchased from event vendors.
