- Speculation arises about a potential World of Warcraft Remix: Legion event starting in October or November next year.
The game director for World of Warcraft recently teased the possibility of Legion Remix coming in the future. According to his hint, the next Remix event may be hiding in plain sight on the World of Warcraft 2025 roadmap.
During the first-ever Warcraft Direct, World of Warcraft revealed its roadmap for 2025. It then proceeded to update it twice: once to add more details to the entry for The War Within Patch 11.2, and again to change the symbol representing World of Warcraft’s upcoming player housing feature, which is coming as one of the major features of the Midnight expansion.
However, it seems there may be one more hint on the roadmap that fans may not have noticed. World of Warcraft game director Ion Hazzikostas recently spoke with WoW content creators The Comeback Kids about the Warcraft Direct reveals. At the 19-minute mark during the interview, they asked him about the potential of a future Remix of the Legion expansion. “I mean, anything’s possible,” Hazzikostas says in response. “There's some fel-green tinge towards the right end of the roadmap, if you take a look at the banner there. Who knows what that could mean?” While far from confirmation, Hazzikostas’ words heavily imply a World of Warcraft Remix: Legion could be planned for next year.
World of Warcraft Remix: Legion Coming Next Year?
World of Warcraft Remix: Mists of Pandaria was a limited-time event where players made special WoW characters to go back and experience the 12-year-old expansion with modern class balance, all while equipping powerful active and passive abilities and gathering threads to empower a cloak with the potential to gain unlimited bonus stats. The event also included some amazing rewards, including both brand-new cosmetics and extremely rare World of Warcraft drops like the Tusks of Mannoroth.
The aforementioned “fel-green tinge” appears on the roadmap during the autumn section of the banner. WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria took place for about three months, beginning shortly after Patch 10.2.7, and ending a week before The War Within started. If this theoretical Legion Remix follows a similar pattern, it could start in October or November, and run until January or February, leading directly into Midnight.
I mean, anything’s possible. There some fel-green tinge towards the right end of the roadmap, if you take a look at the banner there. Who knows what that could mean?
Of course, this is all speculation at the moment. Even so, Hazzikostas and WoW production director Michael Bybee has previously confirmed the intent to bring Remix back to World of Warcraft in some form. While fans shouldn’t get their hopes up until an official announcement is made, it seems extremely like they might be going back to the Broken Isles and Argus in a big way next year.
