A World of Warcraft player just discovered an interesting glitch on a recent build of the Dragonflight Public Test Realm. This bug caused an accidental, unexpected customization option for some members of a popular allied race in World of Warcraft.Embers of Neltharion, the next major patch for World of Warcraft, is currently being tested on the PTR. With each week, subsequent builds of the PTR add new content to the realm, including story content, cosmetics, and customization options.RELATED: World of Warcraft: New Voice Line Teases Return of Legion NPC in Dragonflight Patch 10.1 On a recent build of the PTR, freelance artist and World of Warcraft fan Ramavatarama investigated character customization options. WoW had been steadily fixing the glow reflection on the faces of races with glowing pupils, and he decided to see how it was progressing. It seems the soft light now appeared as the proper color for both Nightbourne and Zandalari Trolls. However, a glitch also caused the actual eyes of female Zandalari Trolls to disappear completely, though the glow itself was still present.

This glitch was definitely unintentional, and will likely be fixed in short order, but it was quite entertaining nonetheless. Unforeseen glitches like this are not uncommon, especially with a venerable MMO like World of Warcraft. Discovering these bugs is one of the major reasons WoW uses a PTR in the first place.

Many World of Warcraft fans got a kick out of this new glitch. They were understandably frightened by the appearance of these buggy Trolls, especially considering the glow from the eyes was still present. Some fans joked that this was proof Blizzard was letting Zandalari Trolls become Demon Hunters in World of Warcraft–a class famous for their missing eyes and special glowing vision.

Other fans actually liked the eyeless appearance on the Zandalari Troll characters. The intimidating look would be a welcome addition some players would use to give their characters a truly frightening visage. While this option probably won’t make its way into other races, Undead characters currently have eyeless options, and all races are getting blind eye customizations in World of Warcraft’s next patch.

Embers of Neltharion, World of Warcraft Patch 10.1, is almost live. This exciting new update introduces Zaralek Cavern, WoW's first subterranean zone. Players will battle the Primalists and the Sundered Flame, discover the mysteries of Neltharion within the new Aberrus raid, and befriend the Niffen–Dragonflight’s new Renown faction. Patch 10.1 is currently scheduled for a May 2 release, meaning players have just a few more weeks before the exciting new content update.

World of Warcraft: Dragonflight is available now for PC.
